no downshift rev matching blips
Try this, get on the interstate and hit an off ramp with speed...call it 80+, then brake hard into the turn.....it will blip.....

Drive the car faster and with more aggression. I have been throttle blipping since day 1 in the CLS via S+ and Drive mode.
In E63's type of modern semi-auto transmission, the computer automatically does the "blip" for you.

I just found out that if you press and hold the re-circulation button it closes all the windows and sunroof, as it assumes are you travelling through a polluted stretch of road....pretty neat.
I sold my M6 Gran Coupe and bought a low mileage 2015 E63 as a stop gap until they release the new M8 Gran Coupe.
So I am an AMG newbie, but really admiring the W212 E63 AMG, and I am a big BMW ///M car fan and currently own and have had several of them.
Job well done by AMG on this platform I'd say !

So sorry ! I seem to have overlooked your query.
Bought my M6 Gran Coupe as a factory build and to my spec in Dec 2015. Put on about 22K miles in about 2.5 years. Several European road trips and lots of central London stop/start driving too.
I really loved the car. The interior is really stand out, in terms of the quality of the materials and amount of leather everywhere.
The exterior styling are very cool and gets quite a bit of attention. Probably the nicest looking car in the BMW range at the time, and probably now too, all in my opinion of course.
You do sit quite low and there are quite a few blind spots but you get used to it I suppose.
The E63 (2015) I bought used after selling the M6 GC.
In terms of performance they are pretty much equal. (We did not get the AWD version, so RWD only and both the AMG and GC perform as expected. Loads of torque low down, with associated traction issues etc etc
Overall I feel the M6 GC is the sharper tool. Seems to be a bit more delicate and precise in all areas.
The AMG is a real THUG. Its very purposeful and goes about its duty, head on in a rather brutish manner, which is a lot of fun really. Having said that in town it seems a lot more relaxed than the GC and easier to drive around smoother, even though the ride seems slightly firmer than the GC. Overall the MCT box is slower on up and down shifts than the DCT GC, but its not a complaint really, unless you are trying to drive at 9/10 for example, which doesn't really happen too much.
If you are considering a GC, I'd say go for it.
Am I happy swapping into an E63 from the GC, yes indeed.
Is an E63 better than a GC overall? NO. Is a GC better than an E63 overall? NO.
I am happy to have experienced both. They are both extremely well engineered German uber saloons and long may these types of cars live !

It will also close automatically after about 5 hours or so of locking up, independent of it raining or not.
