AMS tunes the new Mercedes 5.5Biturbo platform
Not long ago the shop picked up a new 2012 Mercedes E63 AMG 5.5 biturbo development car. Over the past couple of months Mitch and Chris (AMS Tuners) have been working inside our new European Tuning division of AMS called Archetype tuning.
Using our in house software they were able to remap our E63 and pick up some ridiculous power.
225 ft lbs of torque over stock and 155 more whp in the mid-range.... all from JUST a custom AMS /Archetype tune.
Next up is a slew of hardware upgrades including the turbos

Thank you, Yes we are indeed the same shop that creates the ALPHA GT-R line.
As far as engine running time vs reliability our tuners are no stranger to performance or longevity. We have been tuning and specializing in turbo charged platforms for over 10 years. We are very aware of what needs to go into a tune in order to maintain stock like drive-ability and reliability. While the Mercedes is a new platform to us tuning is our specialty. We have tuned, R8's, Lamborghini's, BMW's and quite a few AMG platforms. You are in good hands with AMS. We stake our reputation on it

You guys are the folks in West Chicago? (which, btw, for those not near Chicago, is NOT the same as Westside of Chicago) that started off doing the EVOs?

We have more recently over the last few years been hard at work on our GT-R and Porsche 997 Turbo R&D.
We are very excited to now move forward with our R&D on the Merc 5.5 Biturbo.
We are not going anywhere, so we hope to see you soon.

West Chicago--Finally something in my backyard. It's about time for things to move from the coasts to the midwest. Of course, I wouldn't be doing any thing since I have the M156.

AMS please send me a PM I'd love to work with you this time, I have spoken to you guys many times before when I owned my GTR, I was actually one of the first to own the R35 GTR, and one of the first to blow 1st gear, even before the ppg upgrade was available, I've spoken to you guys through Mike and Frank and Im really interested in tuning my 2012 eclass

just looked at one at my local dealer and was surprised by the bi turbo emblem on the quarter panel...now i see this monstrous graph! makes me want to go back to the dealer and pick it up...nice work ams!

The torque numbers are completely insane. Tune it and walk away, seriously. You'll destroy 99.9% of the cars on the road.
