Par for the course on all MBZ TQ models with manual sliders... they just never seemed to tighten up the rails or place more fabric or create a locking device. I have given up on it and just leave it open.

Look on the bright side, its better than it closing all the time

I have same issue on my 06' CLK... whenever I really get on it at the next stoplight I look up and my visor is half open.

I couldn't imagine with the torque beasts you guys have lol. Just don't slam on the brakes to shut it.

My C43 does the same thing under hard acceleration and hard braking. Pretty ridiculous that you guys are experiencing that same issue in a vehicle that costs over $70k

You would think over a decade later the powers that be at AMG would have solved this problem

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
It's AMG's trade secret on shifting more weight rearward under hard acceleration.

Mine is snug enough it doesn't do that. By the way, do you have the regular sunroof or the pano?

Pano has auto closing shades.... so that doesnt happen with such cars.

That's a good one!

Anyway, I guess I should consider myself lucky since my car doesn't do that.

Wow. Every day I read about ridiculous problems with the '12 E63 and CLS63 on these forums that shouldn't be happening with cars that cost this much. I guess the cost cutting mentioned in the recent Car & Driver comparo is really affecting MB's quality. Hell, I know Vic had his E63 out of commission for a while because a faulty suspension part, many others report rattling interiors and a plastic fuel door, among other problems. On a car at this price that is unacceptable. I am always psyching myself up to get an E or CLS, but then I get on here and read about far more (and worse) problems that I can find on the Cadillac forums--and that's when you know you're doing something wrong MB.

If I only read and worried about the little things, I would never leave the house. Is there any truly problem free car (minus my Pickup)?
I agree there are a few quality problems, but there are faaaaar more grins.
I've had more fun in my AMG than my friends V series.

LOL and agree... its the forums, one is often going to read about issues or small nannies on all cars. I just make sure that the overall driving experience is worthy...and with these new M157's it sure is!!!

I have no doubt we could pick apart the V series too with its interior and fit and finish concerns... or a BMW or a ... you get my point.

And yes I had a leaking shock- Im the only one I know of and its fixed and MBUSA took care of me.

Yes, no car in the world is perfect. If you look at the entire process of engineering for a car and the mind boggling thousands of parts that are put together, you will be amazed how reliable cars are nowadays. Certainly a few squeaks here and there are no biggies.
