this is not good for us.....

its definately possible for high 11's.
i trapped 119.8 myself my first time out in the f10, and im still pretty new at drag racing so i suck. lol.
of course from a roll the tuned 5.5 tt will walk the m5, it has like an extra 120 hp!!! and an extra 200 lbft !!!!!!!
but i think stock for stock from a roll, the m5 will pull on the pp 5.5tt
But Im considering this car because I want a driver's 4 door car and my CLS is just a bit long in the tooth right now. Or maybe its because I cant keep my cars long enough
I really enjoyed the way the M5 felt on the road (the initial launch was neck snapping and it pulls) but I didnt get to take up over 150 mph

All it really comes down to is personal preference and silly bragging rights. Buy the one you think you will enjoy most and appreciate it for what it is instead of obsessing what the other may or may not have over yours.

yes for sure. they are really close in terms of performance, speed, acceleration. pointless to think; oh, the m5 tested a 10th quicker than the 5.5 tt in most mags therefore, if i pull up against one, ill win every time.

there so close, so many other factors come into play.
what made the decision easy for me, had less to do with performance. (all though i should say the DCT of the m5 smashes the MCT of the amg, and the throttle respnse stock vs stock is much better in the m5)
but, the m5 is so much more refined in terms of the interior comfort, and design, quality of materials, etc.
and as for the new M6 interior? forget about it.

Like most cars the new M5 continues to grow with every new generation. WTF, stop the madness.
E34 M5: 3682 lbs
E39 M5: 4026 lbs
E60 M5: 4090 lbs
F10 M5: 4288 lbs
E55 W210
E55 W211
E63 W211
E63 W212
Id fathom you would see analagous weight gains... and with each M5, the cars get faster and handle better- go figure rock!!

These numbers seem very very strong--- of course dynos can be manipulated/adjusted/user error/conditions etc. But 530 whp is very nice.

(no offense to older E63 AMG Owners) It is so nice and creamy like the 750. I have heard way to way to many reliability horror stories about Bimmers in general its why I have only have stuck with two branda my whole life Lexus and Mercedes Benz, same goes for my immediate and extended family. Just take look at the problem per hundred vehicle report...

Just take look at the problem per hundred vehicle report...Like I mentioned earlier on page 1, its a drivers race but the latest dynos are showing the whp (very strong stock) of the new M5's and that primarly is attributed to the DCT. I wish Benz would put the SLS DC trannies in the other AMG's.

heres a few laps at fontana
the car is so quick and just sounds amazing.....sorta kinda want that 6.2
vic, with all your amgs cars, u so should do a academy....its free man.....if u don't want to go, send me your vin numbers, ill happily take your spots

There is alot of cool events
u drive the slk 55 and sl63 in a event testing braking , abs...and learning to stop in the box
then u learn to drift in a c63.....techinically control a slide....
drag race a cls63 vs e63 around a 1/5 of a mile maybe a 1/6 and the u would have to stop in a box
got to around 85 when i slammed on brakes....i had a car with both PP and ceramics but i think i hit it perfect with a non pp non ceramic car..
we then did autocross with the slk
and did laps around the oval in the sls, c, and sl
and finally a hot lap with tommy kendall in an sls....omg can he drive

As a side note, the S8 is also way underrated and this explains the awesome performance.
I can't wait to get my CLS
.The roar alone of the M157 versus the synthetic thru the speakers of the F10 should be reason enough not to buy the M5

.Yeah, I sure can use somebody's vin# for some free AMG driving. However, I'm sure that's not allowed.

From what I read on the AMG Driving Academy site above, they will verify the enlistee to be the original owner and "the complimentary program is non-transferable." But I hope I am wrong and if it is as simple as having the sheet as a "coupon," please PM me!
