dont worry i raced my buddies F10 M5 and i destroyed him by 5 lengths, yes my car is tuned only, however with the M5 tuned they do not gain as much as our M157 engines, will be a good race but still the E63 will come out ahead

There is never enough hp and tq and the quest will never end. If I have to pick between the two induced engines, I would still go for the 5.5TT. Thus no worry for me.

LOL who cares about dyno that "could" have been manipulated via the operator, conditions, roller weight, etc...
run the cars on the street and lets see who/what prevails.
I have no doubt the M5 rocks though and it does have less parasitic loss with its DCT vs our planetary auto (MCT). I have had 3 DCT cars and all have clearly benefited from the tranny speed and lack of hp/tq loss.
edit: just saw a post on the M5Board that a new M5 ran 11.9's at 120-121 mph...
run the cars on the street and lets see who/what prevails.

and to be honest both of these cars are beasts and i'm sure most people on this forum who argue over what dyno produces which number for which car, probably won't ever run these cars to their max potential to find out. It's above most people's comfort levels, but not mine.

I just drove the new M5- impressive car. The steering is a bit tight but I lift weights LOL... the suspension is typical BMW taut which I like. The DCT really shines and basically pulls any perceived turbo lag. The car from cold start up had a pretty decent growl and I liked the amenities inside including the Heads Up display and the I Drive wide screen.
Id get it. Why? Because its a more involving driver at 4200 lbs plus than any other car I know out there. My CLS is faster with a tune but Im not so sure stock vs stock and I have a PP car.

its definately possible for high 11's.
i trapped 119.8 myself my first time out in the f10, and im still pretty new at drag racing so i suck. lol.
of course from a roll the tuned 5.5 tt will walk the m5, it has like an extra 120 hp!!! and an extra 200 lbft !!!!!!!
but i think stock for stock from a roll, the m5 will pull on the pp 5.5tt
