Offsets

Adv runs very aggressive offsets and that's all the cars look so good in the pics. No one ever talks about the rubbing and issues they run into. That wheel is most likely a 10 in the back. Mono in 10.5 are hard to come by. I saw 20x10 39 offset

I am running the same offsets and am lowered, wheels camber in. Mine don't rub but left a little room on the drop just in case. It sure looks mine will rub

The proper rear tire for this offset should be 285 with a little stretch

I think the car looks great with the setup. The offsets are for w212 but just aggressive. If you bought these new you could of requested a less aggressive offset. I chose mine specific offsets to be aggressive

i drive them all, fast and hard
i think it looks good, i dont think a drop in suspension is necessary.....obviously all cars look better lowered, but this car still looks good with 20s and no drop, which is refreshing.....sometimes cars do get the monster truck appearance without a drop, but i think your good to go

what size tires are there

oh in regards to the offset, its true, it does stick out a little, but sometimes dont people put in spacers anyway to fill out the arches and get an aggressive look, i think u are there... as long as it doesnt rub

drop stop, any pics of yours

I was told that they are 20x10.5 in back. Tires are 295/25/20

In front is 20x8.5, 255/30/20

It was a mistake. I bought it from fellow forum member located in Korea as well, and it was originally installed in his CLS63 for about 300miles total. (practically brand new) Based on my research on this forum, CLS63 and E63 can share "most" of wheels, but the wheels spec'ed at maximum offset for CLS63 will not fit E63, since CLS63 has larger fender flares, accommodating approximately up to 15-20mm deeper than E63.

So, long story short, it's too big for my car. I can live with it since the rub isn't very bad and only rubs when I drive the car real hard and meet some bumps on the road, but still it's not a right size and I'm not confident to drive faster than 140mph just in case when severe rub happens and the tire blow, I'm so dead. So in the long run, I'm going to go with new set of wheels.
Lesson learned, at a very expensive price.

You're totally good Dr SS

Those wheels look awesome on the car....the unsettled suspension, before, made them look off, but your stance looks great, now that its settled down. Just drive across some railway tracks and try some steep driveways on an angle to ensure they don't rub and you should be good

Congrats on an awesome set of wheels!

IT LIKE ITS STOLEN!
The factory wheels def do not look better! Dr.ss your car is beautiful, rears look alot better but its still to aggressive of a rear wheel, maybe a fender rolling machine and heat the rear quarter and try stretching the rear quarter out some, front needs to be dropped and rears will probably tuck in with a 275 or 285 with links. Either way the car looks mean

Specs on the wheels from Jordan of adv1:

"Order 2760 ADV5.2.1SL | Titanium
20x8.5+29
20x10.5+40

Weight on your actual wheels: (every single wheel we produce is weighed prior to packaging)
front: 25.4 lbs.
rear: 26.2 lbs.

Originally engineered for a W212 E class with a slightly more aggressive rear fitment vs our standard 20x10.0+40"

wheels

ADV makes or designs some nice wheels. Its funny that their most expensive SL (super light) wheels still weigh in at 26 pounds. My HRE's were in the low 20 pound range.

I did not weigh my current Axiom set up before I mounted them. They are also mono blocks with concave- I am sure they are around the 25-26 pound range.

Mine were built for w212 e63- I always thought the front fenders were wider on the AMG than the regular sedan.

I would like to see how the fronts sit.

I am running

20x9- 29 ET
20x10 39 ET

It is so important to discuss what tire brand and size you will be running when ordering custom and aggresive offsets. I love my Hankooks but I can say that the 295 looks a little too wide for my offsets. I wish they made a 285.

So brands that have very narrow side walls are

Pirelli P zero
Nitto Invo
Toyo TI series

I had posted a forum way back in the day with some pics after I installed some parts. my car needs a wash bad this weekend and I will post more pics next weeks

That rear fitment is the equivalent of putting a 1" spacer on a stock wheel/tire.
The front is the equivalent of a 1/4" spacer on the stock wheel/tire.

But it's 10.5 inches wide. Not just being pushed out, stuffing a wider rim inward to

Yes, I was only refering to the outboard offset.
The inboard offset change is pretty much 0" (from stock).

You need to keep in mind it's the tire placement that matters.
The rim can be wider or narrower, which widens or narrows the tire by a fraction of the wheel width change.

In your case,
A 295 tire on a 10.5" rim is .9" wider than stock (285 on a 9.5").
.45" of that goes outside and .45" goes inside.
Add +12mm (.47") change in outboard offset.
Result .92" outboard offset change and -.02 inboard offset change.

Nice wheels for sure. But, as mentioned that is not E fitment. Looks like CLS/SL fitment.
