ADV.1 5.2.1 SL on e63

Posting some quick and dirty garage pix of the new wheels. Was itching to see how they look...just mounted 2, snapped some pix and then off again since I still need my snow tires. I think they are gonna look pretty hot!! Sorry for the 4x4 look I had just lowered off the jack and hadn't driven the car to get the suspension settled...

Thanks for posting your wheel pics.
Would you mind sharing your wheel sizes and offsets?

Looks good nice stance but if lowered in don't think you will rub you might however tear off the quarter panel

Those wheels are too far out as everyone has said... almost looks like a CLS fitment.

Dr.ss didn't you buy these wheels from AMS? If so shame on them and I would phone them and tell them it's messed up that they didn't tell you about the fitment! And have them throw you a free tune

knowing the offset is imperative.....

wheel looks really big, even besides the profile...

i suppose if you dont lower it it will be fine....

Was AMS selling them because they were the wrong offset too?

The rear looks way too positive (sticking out) but it might just be the camera angle

If you let the car settle down to normal ride height and then take a pic from the rear (not side rear but behind the car) you could tell if the rim sticks out further than the wheelwell.

Beautiful wheels!

Feel sorry for you, I had the same thing with ADVs on my E63 about a year ago -- where the offsets are wrong. Seems to be the same offset on the rears but not the fronts. My fronts were almost like stock wheels offset or maybe even slightly inward.

Ive been an AMS client since 2005, i have no doubt that they will rectify any issue with the wheels. They have already offered a full 100% refund if I choose. In the meantime they are corresponding with ADV about the offset as well; to see if there is an issue, and if there is a fix. I am fully confident with AMS as a vendor.

Thanks to the forum for input though because i probably would not have known they were the wrong offset for the brief period i put them on!

Ditto.. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pics OP posted. It just looks EXACTLY SAME with my HRE P44SC 19" on my E63, with maximized CLS spec. My rear wheels stick so far out just like that in the picture, and I'm on stock height, but it rubs like hell when I go over the speed bumps over 30mph, or I get to face sudden level changes or small bumps on the highway. BTW, the wheels look gorgeous.. if I'm not mistaken, those ADV1's were for sale on this forum. E63 is a big car, and it definitely needs 20's. I love my HRE's, but 19" sometimes does look a bit small to my taste. Couldn't get 20's because roads out here in Seoul are crap.

Sorry Dr ss but the factory rims look by far better than the Massey Ferguson gray tractor wheels you have purchased. As well as being tooo wide for the car it does little to create a look of custom in your car. Send them back for fittment reasons they are way too plain for your beautiful ride. The pictures above make your E look like a C with zero bling. My apologies for being truthful. I realize there are few options for our cars that can be bought for under 6k but keep trying.

Wow yours looks like Dr.ss except with a meatier tire, I think 19's are perfect with a drop and right wheel

Very interesting. Did u end up keeping ur HRE's? Did u want the cls fitment, or was it a mistake??

Critter is a funny guy : )
However, I agree with him, that the factory wheels look better.
It's not a fair comparison though.
