AMS/ALPHA Performance M157 Upgraded Turbos - 787WHP!
A while back we announced our entry into the Mercedes market along side of our shops new E63 AMG Outside of our stock ECU Tune we have remained relatively quiet while we worked diligently behind the scenes on new hardware and power options for the M157 engine.
Introduction thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...roduction.html
ECU tuning thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...-platform.html
Today we made a big step in our M157 development. Over the past three months we have been testing and testing our shop E63 with our new upgraded turbos. While you will find below that the Horsepower number is very impressive what is even more impressive is that this is only the beginning as ALL OTHER PARTS ON THE CAR ARE 100% STOCK! You heard that right, no downpipes, no turbo outlet pipes, no exhaust... nothing. This is just a stock E63 with our upgraded turbos calibrated in house by our two tuners Martin Musial and Chris Black.
Please note torque is not shown as our tach pickup was having a hard time picking up a signal on the dyno. Based on the HP Torque should be close to 770 ft lbs.
This is just the start as we are far from done. These turbos should be the cornerstone of what will be our ALPHA 9 Performance package for the M157 motor.
Stay tuned for more information.

Very soon! We just need to finalize our tune and we want to pair it up with our soon to be released downpipes / turbo outlet pipes. With those on the car along with a full exhaust we should be able to break the 800whp mark.

Great job AMS! Keep up the good work. If this was done on 93 octane I can see the car making 850whp with some bolt ons.

It will very interesting to see what this package will do on the 2014 model? 2012-2013 with drag radials, good prep and a great launch I would think it come in around 10.4@137

Out Of Control!
Is the 787WHP done on what oct? Have you guys tested it with 109oct and if so what were the result? I understand that not too many run on that high of that type of fuel but was just curious.

Had the opportunity to meet the AMS crew at the Texas Invitational, and can't say enough about how impressive their car and crew was. Very professional, detail oriented, and they are the definition of working together as a team. I remember a thread they made a while back, of doing a complete laser scan of an engine bay, so they could actually engineer parts, rather than "guessing" what would work and the old trial and error method of throwing parts at a car and testing it. I really appreciated the "engineering" approach they took to their builds, and look forward to see what they do with the M157.
