Sounds like build dates are getting pushed for 2014 sedan buyers.
The good news is that dealers are finally getting build dates on 2014 E63, the bad news (for sedan buyers) is they seem to be late. I hear late October build, December delivery. Is anyone hearing otherwise?
Strangely, wagon builds seem to be available in July. Another reason to get a wagon!

Mine was pushed back 2-3 weeks for a delivery in mid September not mid August like I was originally quoted. I heard there are a shortage of engines for the car. Disappointed to say the least!!!!

Went to dealer on Saturday - they wanted me to commit to the car, but didn't even have in system way to price specified build - left with a bunch of questions for product manger to answer:
1. B&O sound system reduces the size of the trunk- how much - no pic or info available
2. custom color cost and list
3. ability to get summer performance tires vs. all season - plan to get separate winter tire set
4. cost of rims
5. carbon trim coverage area
6. cost of all night package

Do you have any reason to think they're switching to all-seasons for 2014? I'd assume they're sticking with the Contisportcontact 5P, which is a max-performance summer tire. That looks to be the tire on the E63 show car at New York.

carbon interior - looks like its minimal coverage and that on the gear console there is none - maybe black ash is better (an cheaper).. then randomly, sparingly, slapped on and overpriced carbon trim:

My dealer emailed me my spec sheet over the weekend. I can't get the trunk box due to the B&O system.
He didn't say anything about production date being pushed back, but didn't answer my questions regarding delivery date and pricing either.
I am in the same position as you regarding winter tires. If delivery dates get pushed back much further I will likely need to take delivery on winters.
I saw a video where they were discussing Michelin PS3s as the OEM tires for this car.

My dealer confirmed that production for Canada has been pushed to sept/oct. that is for people with confirmed purchase orders. Anyone who doesn't have a confirmed PO is looking at November production.
So basically late October / November delivery of the first cars and January for the next batch of orders.
This change is for both sedan and wagon orders in Canada. I've got a wagon order and mine has been delayed.

so I found out that with the B&O system you lose the compact spare tire in the trunk and instead get a flat fix kit.... bigger amp I guess.
also, they are waiting to get back to me on the look of the "night trim"

Plivac, there's really no question as to what exactly the night package includes. AMG has spelled it out (and your quote above is incorrect for the E63). Doesn't included tinted windows in the US. A euro tester even posted pics of a 2014 with night package. AMG posted studio pics as well.
And like I said, there's also no question about the CF interior bits. Just do some google searching, it's all there. Probably no different from 2013.

All the details of the night package is in the DOG. Black wheels are the only option if you take the night package. The cost of the ANP will likely be $1K+ and it is just under 1000 Euros for European customers.

We have the same taste. I ordered a palladium wagon with carbon fiber, but skipped the night package. If it were no-cost, I probably would have gotten it, but I can't justify $800-$1,000 when I think those few black parts are barely better. And yes the CF interior is ridiculously priced, but I simply love CF interior bits.

ordered mine about a week and half ago, got the S-Model white with titanium rims pano roof and lane tracking package, i too found that 2K+ was too much for carbon fiber. i wanted to do the exterior carbon package but that would delay the car until november or something like that. my dealer said that we should expect it in august

This car is to expensive to have to settle for things you don't want. I'm finding it is extremely frustrating ordering new model cars from MB. They aren't prepared when they roll these things out. I'm being told there's no way I will get the 63 S I ordered till January at the earliest with designo options I want. I'm about 90% sure I'm switching to a 911 carrera 4s now. Ill wait a few years for the E. The folks waiting on the GL63 almost ordered the car a year ago and still haven't got it. Come on Mercedes. You are going to lose customers for your lack of preparation. Don't mean to sound overly negative as the new E should be great, just frustrated like a lot of others over the details. And the details are what win over buyers of 100k+ cars.

I agree it's getting long before definite answers about prices/options/build date/delivery date etc...
I've asked for a PO (production order) to my salesman mid january as soon as I saw the car on the web... I was surprised to be the 2nd in line!!
As of last monday MB canada did not even give any PO to my dealer. I should know next tuesday (june 4th, the date they get PO for the month) If I get a build date in august for october delivery or build date in september for november delivery. It seems they only get one E63/month... they are trying to get 2 for august but I doubt it will pass... Until then I'm shopping arround and maybe I will end up somewhere else...

My dealer wasn't even able to submit build with designo options till last week and didn't get an allocation till November! That means delivery after the first of the year. Crazy, 8 months from now. I go back and forth everyday whether to keep my commitment to it.
