How wide can we go on the rear wheels?

Wanted to get a tune since i finished my break in period...but with all the power a tune only adds i wanted to see if maybe adding some rubber in the rear would help a bit. So the question is how wide can we go (ordering custom wheels) on the rear? I was thinking 305 with michelin pss but wanted to see what others did?
Please list your specs

I was thinking of getting something like this
Front 19x9.5 Michelin PSS 265x35x19
Rear 19X11 Michelin PSS 305x30x19

just keep them stock the tires or you will lose power at high speed.

What's the reasoning for that? Is it because of the increased rotating mass?

i think more surface contact it wil give you more stability but it will die on high speed i mean 180KM plus i tried 335 (wide body kit ) at the back then i tried 315 then tried 295 and i will try 265 and every reduce it become faster....

so stay on OEM size and if you need grip get an 18'' wheel with Mickey Thompson street radial 265/40/18 but check first if it fit with no rubbing

all my experience was with my c63, i will try this setup on my 2014 e63 when it arrives

So you want to go to 305's for more grip, or just because you want michelin PSS? 305's will not give you any more grip than 285's, and will actually reduce your straight line grip. So if I were you, I would stick with 285's (if you wanted wider tires for a grip advantage, not aesthetic purposes). If you want PSS, just go for 295's. But if you want more grip, get grippier tires.

I want to try and avoid using drags or slicks for DD. I have a set of MT but fr drag racing purpose. Want to get michelin pss i guess will have to stick with 295

be careful with 295's on a 9.5 rim. I have a 2012 e63, getting new tires in the next week and steered away from PSS because 295 is really too large for our wheels (9.5 inch rear). I'm going with stock sizing, Bridgestone s04, probably won't even tell the difference between those and PSS.

I am looking at purchasing new set of rims for the e63 with 10 inch wide rim to fit 295 tire.

This is MPSS 295/30 on a 9.5" wheel and see how ballooned up the tire is---so wrong--
I just ordered a new set of wheels 10" to keep the 295 tires
