I might go with Nokian Hakka 8 255/35/19 in the rear and 235/40/19 in the front. I have the hakka 7 studded on my TX since last winter and I completely recommand them if you have a lot of snow/ice conditions... Never had such a competant witer tire.
I cant imagine how fun an E63 would be with studded tires!

Thanks for that pic from the manual. That is info direct from the manufacturer which is awesome to see (Glad I picked the right tire size
Kart: Thankfully most of us in the US that don't live in Minnesota or upper Michigan will never need studded tires. I use Michelin winter performance tires (20"s) on both of my X5s and there hasn't been anything they couldn't handle. I can only imagine studded tires...but the noise!

the noise at speed is actually not at all intrusive since Nokian have patented an "air cushion" underneath the stud. For sure if you dont have a lot of icy road to deal with a good studless tire will do... I probably need the studs 10-15% of the time but it is so rewarding to lauch forward almost as if it was dry and see everybody spin like crazy!

I checked with Nokian Canada (same as US) and no Hakka 8 in North America this winter, only selected european markets. Maybe next year.
Sales guy recommanded the new Hakkapelita R2... one of the best rated studless tires in recent tests. the tire is available in 255/35/19 so that might be the best option to go "square". Other tire available in same size and really well rated is the Vredestein Wintrac Extreme. They are about the same price but I have good experience with Nokina so I might pull the trigger soon.
