Leather on dash?? I was told by an amg Rep that Europe got leather on dash whereas we get mbtecx. Mayb e they changed the option

Are you sure it's leather, and not MBTex, on the dash and door window sills? Personally, I would prefer MBTex on those high sun-exposed areas because leather at those locations are just going to be headaches later.

Looks good overall!!! The best color for the hot Florida sun! Of course, I will still ramble about how the quad exhausts seem not as well integrated on the back end and the loss of the Ponton rear quarter lines......

Congratulations to you (and all the other lucky persons!) for the new ride! I also like the more traditional amg wheels and thats the look I'm going for on the wagon... I really like the diamond white but I'm considering obsidian black and palladium silver also... Can't wait to see first owner's pictures of wagons in these colors... I've seen them on press cars but nothing beats a real life picture!

I am 100% sure on the full leather. I believe it's only available in the black and on an S though. You get silver seat belts w silver stitching and it looks amazing.

You can kinda see it on the interior photo I posted on another thread when the car first roller off the truck (covered in plastic) ill take more tonight and upload.

The DOG says the dash and door tops are "Napa Optik," meaning "Napa look," meaning fake leather. Seats and door inserts are shown as Napa leather.

It's certainly great to hear the new dash material is near impossible to tell from real leather!! Glad it's synthetic, too, for durability.

Yes, more interior shots please. I'd like to see all that contrast stitching. Does the center armrest have contrast stitching as well as the dash and wheel?

2012 merc amg

Congrats on the new car. I can't imagine it is louder than my 2012 AMG wagon, that car is really loud when it is revved, I would not want it any louder. I really thought about ordering a 2014 back last spring and then decided to go with a used 2012 which I got a couple of months ago. I feel good about my decision as I like the front end better on the older ones (call me conservative) plus I would have spend at least 25 grand more. I know the awd is amazing and gets a 1/2 second better in 0 to 60, but I feel my car is plenty fast enough and am happy with it, plus I plan on keeping this car long term and I figure less to go wrong over the long haul, just my opinion. Don't mean to be a downer, if you are happy with your decision that's all that matters.

No problem at all! Ya know Benz amazes me w their exhaust systems. I've had plenty of M cars and the first thing I do is install a dinan free flow exhaust. The exhaust on this car is perfect. It gives a sharp growl when you fire it up and growls when you jam on the throttle, yet if you are just cruising around its very tame. Also the exhaust note changes in this car from comfort to sport plus. Very cool.

Another thing I love which I have had issues w before, is there is no drone and when you are on the Bluetooth it doesn't interfere w the phone call. I can't tell you how many conference calls I've been on and someone asks "who is on a racetrack" it's embarrassing!

2012 merc amg

Wow, so I guess the exhaust must be different than my 2012 if it changes tone from comfort mode to sport mode, there must be some kind of solenoid that opens in sport mode. First thing I realized when I drove my car first time a couple months ago was the engineers at Benz must have put a lot of work into the exhaust on the AMG's to get them to sound just right, I figured with the twin turbo it was going to be fairly muted, not so. I am anxious to see one of the new AMG's in person. Maybe the looks will warm up to me eventually. I may end up with one of those when the warrantee is up on my 2012. You will have a blast with the car smoking a lot of different cars off the line, that's for sure, I can only imagine one of those with some mods like a good tune, etc, it could be a car that will do high 9's in the quarter mile.

Hi there, I didnt go for the Night package. I wasnt sure if it was too much black for me or not, and figured I can get it "blacked" out if I wanted to. Best way to tell is if it has the strip under the door in black, and also black exhaust tips and side view mirror covered in black.
