2014 E63P in my GARAGE!!!

Took delivery this morning, and all I have to say is WOW. First of all, the car is MUCH louder than I expected, it was a pleasant surprise and the car just rips. It sounds like a rocketship, and more like a tuned C63, as the previous body E63 in my opinion was way too quiet.

The S model in person is 10 times nicer than in photos, no photos I have seen or taken do this car any justice. Its simply amazing.

There are a lot of little touches I didnt realize, the key actually has a silver AMG crest in the back of it. Alot of the "trim" around the exhaust, front bumper, side skirts etc. is much more aggressive and obvious in person. You really cant appreciate it in photos.

The lighting is.....well just amazing. Its all LED, the front end lights up so clean and crisp I just cant explain it much better than that. It has "Mercedes Benz" engraved in several spots in the tailights, headlights, side lights etc. The illumated door sills are LED and look sick.

The interior can be lit up white, blue or orange and it really is quite impressive. The full leather is a "must have" and the fit/finish in the interior is all there.

The command is also much better and even has a FULL internet browser!!! Also shocking.

The rear camera and parking features are perfected.

Sorry if this "review" is all over the place, but I cannot stop smiling the car is that impressive.

My GF was absolutely shocked when the salesman fired up the motor, in the delivery bay and it just rumbled the showroom. Very cool ride.

A+++ all the way MB USA stole another one from BMW!!

PS confirmed.....no Gas Guzzler tax!

JC, Congrats! Awesome to hear how great the car sounds.

Thank you for all the updates, espcially on the Gas Guzzler status.

Thanks for sharing. Looking like it is going to be worth the wait. Have you experienced a 3.6 0-60 yet?

Yes worth waiting for without question. I haven't really HAMMERED it yet. They said to wait 500 miles before hitting it really hard. I did goose it a bit on the way home (how could you not) and it feels like the gravatron ride at the carnival. Just "pulls" you back in the seat. Quite impressive. And I've driven them all....

I'll be waiting for the pics! I can't wait to see the comparison with a RWD of the pull from 90mph+.

Congrats, I like the idea of a little louder exhaust. Is there any info that exhaust is more free flowing in this massaged 5.5 engine? Would be interesting if AMG heard some rumblings that the sound was lacking compared to the 6.2 and made a tweak.

I love the sound from the 6.2... Still get compliments on it. Not excited to give that up. The e63s sounds good from the vids but all that really matters is how it sounds from in the car. I know the AMG engineers work hard on that, I'm sure it'll be great and the early word is it is!

Hey guys, attached are some crappy pics I took, I was so excited I didnt even take an interior photo. The full leather is standard on the S, gives you leather on the doors, dash, etc and has silver stitching. its awesome. I think its code 821. I dont thnk you can get it in any other color but black but I am not sure. This car is REALLY hard to drive slow. Seriously. Maybe I am just used to having a manual in the M3 and being able to control it more, I dont know but it just goes from 0-45/50 MPH in no time.

The interior LEDs are just awesome, and having the illuminated door sills in LED are cool too.

Also check out the back of the key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the little things.

Its funny I love the wheels, I think the black spoked wheels look absolutely horrible and out of place, almost like someone bought them at Pep Boys. I know that sounds crazy but they just dont look like a Mercedes wheel. Then again, I prefer a more "traditional" look.

I guess thats why they make different styles!

Are those the titanium twin spoke 5's? If so nice wheel that is what I have on my 2012. I think the angle makes it look like the 18" 5 spoke AMG style wheel.
I think the titanium 10 spokes would have looked good but I am waiting to see them in person. Was hoping yours had them so I could get a look.

Yes tey are the 19in twin 5 spoke wheels, $1700 option. They actually have a black center that covers the lugs and it "locks" into place, you can remove it with your hand and then see the lug nuts underneath. its really sweet. The other E they had there had the titanium 10 spokes and I personally think they look worse in person than they do in the ordering guide. I was concerned it would be the opposite but its not to my eye. They just dont look right on a Mercedes IMO. I like the old school "hammer" style AMG wheels. haha remember those?

I did some comparison and it seems that your 785 Twin spoke is a little different than mine. Interesting to here your thoughts on the 10 spoke. Can happen that's why I did not get them on mine, but kind of want to switch it up on the E63S.
