I like the blue. Subtle. Different that the ubiquitous silvers, blacks and whites.

I don't think the Night Styling works particularly well, though. The brightwork would contrast nicely with the somber blue. And definitely needs the 5 spoke forged wheels.

 

no, no. don't get me wrong. i support the choice to order such an expensive machine. i just couldn't do it. i have wicked ADHD when it comes to cars.

i probably got lucky with mine. low options, white on black leather, 18" factory rims for winter and a few months of sitting on a south florida dealer lot. great deal and right down the street from Renntech! worked out perfectly. i ended up with a full Renntech wagon delivered by truck to the house in 2 weeks for the price of an average-optioned, stock car had i ordered it. just a different strategy. we all win.

 

Euro in Bethesda has one coming into inventory soon. VIN appears in the listing. I believe they assign a stock number once it reaches the lot.

Depends in part on how expensive your part of the world is. 1,500 over invoice was my best quote from five dealers.

 

The local "Costco" price is $2,500 over invoice.

 

Congrats! Finally... could it be the first wagon heading to Canada? Mine got pushed back to dec 12... was supposed to be built nov 19...

 

Mine was supposed to be an October build / November delivery, but has been pushed back to January build / February delivery. Bummer but I will tough it out.

Unlikely, butI really hope the wagon can be more common than the sedan since I really have this itch for this station wagon.

 

It's the first wagon that my dealer is getting. Lonestar is supposed be the biggest AMG dealer in Canada, so I hope they got the first allocation. I only ordered the carbon interior, but I hear that carbon is why a lot of cars are getting pushed back.

The first wagon in Canada was probably the Performance Tour Wagon.

 

Why are these cars so slow to arrive up North?

For comparison, there are two (!) wagons sitting in the inventory at MB of Greenwich CT.

 

I was refering to the first customer wagon... AMG canada had the sedans and wagons since last summer and they got the first CLA45. I guess they have connections!

I'm also getting first wagon in laval dealer.

 

It's sad to see such cars waiting for adoption... I tought wagons were special orders only with end customer waiting... Guess dealers stretched the order process.

I just got a call from my dealer, who told me that the carbon interior trim is unavailable for the January production. He said it is on back order 3-6 months beyond that production.

Anybody else heard that? This is a BIG disappointment.

The carbon exterior is available, which I had previously heard was causing delays.

 

Jesus Christ!! I just received an email from my salesguy... Originally November 19th (today) was supposed to be the birthday of my car. Unfortunaltely it turns out it is another delay in the production of the car.

New numbers are production date january 19th and delivery march 5th...

So I guess I will stop looking for winter wheels!!

I will keep reading about all those who receive their beasts with envy.

Oh, and yesterday was a special day as I saw in 30 seconds 2 2014 E63s... one S and one std, both black with night package... Just to make the wait worst!

 

A two month set back and your sales guy did not give a reason? I have a January build date and if they pull that one on me without a valid explanation they can keep the car.

 

It's probably due to designo leather choice... but I can't imagine that it takes 2 months to fabric special seats. they know since beginning of october that my car will have them. They should have a better production coordination going!!

 

In that case the two month extra wait is probably true because I ordered a designo interior also and was told at the time it would add six to eight weeks to the order. I was told the interior will be hand sewn but the pattern appears to be the same as the standard pattern so like yourself I'm wondering why the long wait for just a different color. I plan to ask before the car goes code red and add the chrome door handle inserts which I think look better than the paint film I had planned to install.

 

Picked one up yesterday. The customer who originally ordered it didn't like the black dash color with the beige interior, so I had zero wait time.

What I find weird about the designo hypothesis is that in another thread a dealer posted pictures of an E63 in stock with designo light brown interior right at the time the cars were released in the USA.

exactly my thought... but there should not be much changes in 2015. I'm thinking about it and will take a decision in a couple of weeks.
