I'm coming from an '06 M5
I hope the steering feel will be close to the precision of the M5. Can't wait to lose that SMG though-
Do any S-model owners have the AMG Illuminated Sills as standard? Their literature and website are conflicting in this regard.

Only thing i'm still on the fence on is the Ceramic Brakes. Does anyone have any real world numbers for life span of the pads/rotors? My dealer is trying to talk me out of them as they think they will only last 25K and its a $15K job to replace them. Brembo says they should last 100k for the rotors which would be reasonable, NOT 25k. I know it depends on how hard you abuse them...etc. But say for an average driver?
And as for the AMG door sills, they are standard. The website leads you to believe they are a standalone option, which is erroneous.
Now the long wait begins...

I was in same boat and decided not to after talking to dealer and reading bunch of stuff online
Still confused about whether to get PRE-SAFE (Driver Assist Package) - there are some positive comments and others are saying its annoying... the car has already the:
COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST
Radar-based technology alerts you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. Its Adaptive Brake Assist automatically provides the ideal level of braking as soon as the driver steps on the brake pedal, to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If deemed necessary, the system can also activate the features of PRE-SAFE®.

Am adding laser/radar, window tints and making a game time decision on a full body satin or matte clear bra over the palladium silver...those pics in other thread with some cf trim, grey dipped emblems on back and discussion around some matte ceramic coated tips are intriguing too so I'll no doubt be waffling over that kind of stuff for the next month in anticipation....

I haven't locked in my order but here's my current thinking:
Iridium Silver, with Grey/Black interior or Polar White, with Black w/ Silver accents interior
Carbon exterior (esp. if I get the Polar exterior)
5-spoke forged
Roof spoiler? (still trying to figure out what this looks like)
Carbon interior trim
Heated rear seats

I'm going back and forth between obsidian black and paladium. Interior is between black and designo light Brown... Actual car is black/Brown... thinking of changing to paladium/black.... then I go back to black/black... can't make up my mind! Anyways I'm sure it will be an awesome car. I'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow! I cant wait for it to be locked so the decision is going to be final!

Just did a search on AutoTrader and only found 4 wagons in the US, none with the colors or options I want or even close. If I'm going to pay $100+K for a car, I can handle the wait to get exactly what I want.
Let me know if there are better search tools, because if I don't have to wait, that would be great too!

There really aren't that many '14 wagons sitting on the lots. EMC in Devon, PA had a white one in inventory for about a month, but it sold this week.
I think this one might be hot in the flesh.
