For what it's worth… My sales guy told me that a major part of the delay is simply lack of engines being built. They've added a third overnight shift and still can't crank them out fast enough.

I dont think this time the engines are responsible. I was in front of another wagon in the pipeline at my dealer and the other passed in front (well actually i moved back...). Only difference in the cars is b&o, ccb and designo lesther...

Just confirmed (with VIN) an early January build with a mid-February delivery. I just hope it will have been worth the wait.

Hi Guys,
As a first time user of this Forum I hope to get as much help as possible.
I am currently driving a 2007 A4 Avant but since the E63 Wagon came out I really can't wait to put an order for it in the next 3 weeks.
My Screen name should have been RS6THIS
since AUDI USA didn't see a market for them here state side, I see from the thread that there is one.
So here is what am looking for help wise:
Is there anyone who ordered an E63 Wagon in the NY NJ CT area and Beyond?
What kind of a $$DEAL$$ were you able to get on the car because I called a couple of dealers & they are to make it sound as if the car is NO discount car at all.
I am looking to do the European Delivery & my understanding is that AMG is No 7% off car??
I will really appreciate all your answers & I can't wait for some AMG meets & rallies in the NYC area.

Some people are reporting discounts but I suspect it's the law of supply and demand. Since allocations are limited, a dealer in a high demand area like yours may choose not to discount because he can sell all of the allocations he can get at full price. Go to a dealer where the demand is not as high, and you can clearly find discounts or use one of the fleet buying services like Costco or USAA.
I can confirm there is no discount for Euro delivery on AMG models. I looked into it and was told this by my dealer and confirmed via letter from MBUSA.

Ordered mine in February. Production NOW scheduled for late February 14

DB904 midnight blue non-metallic (historic color), Silk beige leather (pale dog). Ceramic brakes, active cruise control / lane change assist, rear seat heating. Only things not ordered are carbon fiber stuff (ages badly), rear seat entertainment (no kids and the dog doesn't watch TV) and night vision / drug dealer visual effects.

Forgot about that blue, would have been on short list. Will be great looking. With (albeit slow) wireless, entertainment is pointless. Individual Ipads in back keep kids happy. Lack of opposable thumbs hampers our lab's tablet time.

My build got bumped as yours, but it got built early. Dealer was unaware, surprised as me when it was completed weeks early. Hope you have pleasant surprise as well.

ordered yesterday, 1st MB of any kind. coming off volvo R wagon. 1500+ invoice from COSTCO. local dealer would not budge. their loss. iridium silver and black interior, 5 spoke forged wheels. all badges to be removed and rear star, hope most people mistake it for a lesser wagon.

I just heard that my Wagon is now in Canada! However, it is stuck in Halifax and MB Canada is apparently not shipping anything (a freeze of a different kind) until the weather improves. I would rather wait a little longer than risk some injury to my newborn in shipping. Supposedly, a high end roadster (SL? SLS?) was recently damaged when shipped in the lousy weather. I am told ETA is the end of the month. Now, it's really starting to get exciting!
