As for the car in question- who knows how it was driven or by who... Id only give it a bare bones offer as Id rather spend more and be able to break in the car my way. But cash is king and sometimes a deal is a deal so offer real low circa 70k if not high 60's.

003 Factory code - Production test manually
103 PT3 - Production Trial 3
53T Factory code pre-production
What in the world does this mean, anybody have seen this before?

Those codes have nothing to do with options.

Hey, they do a lot of testing in the US, which is their largest market, right?
Being mostly driven by a woman is a double edged sword since most women don't care about cars. Thus the car will likely be either in mint condition, or all busted up cosmetically and mechanically.

But because dealership is selling it they probably wont budge much.
So poor sucker may end up with it not knowing what we do

I haven't identified the COC paper code?
With the above stated, I too, bought the car as a CPO in May, 2015 with 24,800 miles on the car. It also had new brakes, new tires and the whole CPO excercise.
This past weekend (12/15) the engine exploded while traveling 80 mph without any warning; idiot lights, temp or anything.
New $19K engine on order courtesy of M-B, but I am seriously concerned about the remaining life of the car. Transmission, other drive train components, etc.
Watch closely for the above referenced codes. At the time, I didn't make the effort to discover what they meant, and of course, no one at the dealership knew either.
As mentioned, it was apparently a Press Car or something used for testing. I'm wondering if that fact needed to be disclosed to me prior to purchase...
Thanks for any insight.
Bill...
