I would guess its tuned as I don't see an S on the trunk lid so that would be a very stout run for an untuned 550 HP car.

Great run but it's gotta be tuned, it's a reg E63 not the S model. Looks like a recent run at some private Atco rental.

I will pick one up when I see the times improve cause I'm still not impressed as much as I expected to be. Didn't the rear wheel drive E63 BITURBO break into the 10's with just a tune

Renntech rear drive biturbo has done 10.7 on drag slicks. Did 11.3 on factory tires.

the 126 trap is way strong for a non S non tuned car.....

something is def wrong unless its stock lol. from what Ive read the ECU coding is different from the 12-13 models, giving tuners a hard time.
EXample- Renntech Tune, Street Tires traps 129mph

U are correct, I've heard the same. I'm sure after a bunch of hours on the dyno and a lot of 1/4 mile runs they will fix it.... I hope lol

At least the 4matic will be good for 664 lb-ft as found on the '14 S63, but I know you guys are aiming for way more than that.

Yeah, the best I could do was 11.46 with Renntech tune, with R/S
Car slacks off in 3rd. Car should run near 11 sec with tune only.
Diffidently AMG is limiting TQ.

With Street tires, PSS 305s , it does hook up, 10.9sec.
I have never run it with drag radials, but the ones that have run it in 10.6.
Last time I took to CLS to the drag strip I had it sideways, ran 12.88 sec 1/4 mi
At 127mph.

i'm sure Weistec will be able to get around the TQ limiter, if there is one. They pretty much overcame every other limit on the 63's

I just saw a Black '14 E63 at the dealership with the black multispokes and the Midnight option on all the trim....very stealth

Do you guys use race-start for these times? This is my first automatic car, and frankly i'm not really sure of the best way to launch this car quickly off the line. I'm still breaking in mine, but would like to know for the future Cheers.

nice ride.

I think 126 trap is good considering you have 20"s on your ride and its AWD

But for adding that much HP/TQ.. there is something holding back the power.

I've heard credible rumors (is there such a thing??) that the days of tuning AMG/Mercedes ECU's will soon be very difficult if not impossible. MB/AMG ecu's will have coding/design to prevent tampering or modification, as well as AMG offering from the factory what the aftermarket tuners are already offering, hence the "S" model...making an after market tune a moot point. Among the obvious reasons are Mercedes' warranty liability, marketing issues (tuners making an E63 faster than the SLS), etc.

Well , I will tell you all one thing,APR just tuned my S8. I just ran the 1/4 mi in 11.25 sec @124 mph.
So a simple tune on a RS7 with put it in the high tens!
MB needs to give up the keys to the vault.

Great time for the S8 but the issue is that Audi will void your powertrain warranty when they detect the tune (last year, they would void your entire warranty which is BS). I was on the fence getting the RS7 and a good friend who is a tech at the dealer advised that every time he plugs the car in for diagnosis, it downloads some kind of file that Audi checks and it will pick up that the CPU has been altered. Audi then notifies the dealer and your car is tagged.
Don't shoot the messenger, just sharing what I have been told from a source that have been 100% reliable to date.
APR has been trying to become an authorized Audi tuner and I can't wait for that moment to happen but it appears that Audi is having cold feet about it.

what do you mean? tune is still 100 hp more than a stock s AMG, 577hp vs 650-680 tuned.

You think the '14 S's are actually producing only 577hp?
