fWIW I can't imagine more power earlier in the pedal travel in snow and ice we have here now.
On my commute I am lucky if it get to WOT once a day. But I also pack it up and hit the highway when it's nice and bag it hard away from home for several days at a time.
AMG has to make the car useable in all situations. They make daily drivers for car lovers.
Tuners fill a niche. 100 more hp at the expense of any reliability wouldn't work for me. But if this is a hobby for you why not. I don't have any tuner experience but I do believe you get what you pay for, and a business cannot afford good customer service if they don't have it together.

I think the platform is so new maybe wait a bit and handheld devices will eventually come out, at that point you have your stock file to flash back anytime it is require. I am glad I waited for the m156 dimsport devices as it was painless to follow the program loading procedures, at this point I am definitely keeping track to see how tunes are progressing since E63 is the next move.

No issue with my tune other than spark plugs problems I think it's no big deal.I have a friend with stock M157 running same spark plugs issues too.
vdubpower I'd say go with Weistec tune with their spark plugs. Trust me you'll have no problems whatsoever you won't regret it

Nick I can't imagine trolls that would waste that much time on a fake thread. I wish I had that much extra time to spare. the reason I said renntech is because it doesn't void the warranty and there is a dealership in the town next to me. New update Slav from Eurocharged Ontario wants me to overnight my ECU to him. Hopefully he can fix it because disconnecting the battery didn't work. Thank you all for your help and confidence. I will keep you posted.

I highly doubt that would work. It will only to store another code for battery. Where in the hell those tuners get this info from ? I doubt MB or AMG would tell you to disconnect battery overnight

FYI renntech doesnt have an agreement with MBUSA to protect the warranty with their tunes... Now a dealership can put their feet in MBUSA's shoes and cover the failed part or system if they have such an agreeement with Renntech. This is relative to the likes of Dinan for BMW and Stasis for Audi but if you had a Renntech tune that blew an engine MBUSA would not cover it because it was Renntech vs EC or OE or Kleeman.
I would suggest you look at threads like the sneaky pedal reset one for more info... you are missing out..

Seriously, you think the new TC1797 can clear adaptation, by disconnecting the battery. Please try even removing the ECU for 5 years, it will still have ALL codes & adaptation intact. You ARE not working with ECU's from the 90's

Seriouly, I think you need to start using a Xentry/Star diagnostics. Disconnecting a battery for 1 day overnite or 5 years WILL not do anything for adaptation or even clearing codes. You need to really start reading about how TC1797 works & MB diagnostics if you want to really clear adaptation.

I haven't dug completely through our system for the exact models (awd vs rwd), but of the new M278/M157 cars we show ~78 cars running the tune of our the 7,158 total tunes we have done as a company. Keep in mind this is from all the eurocharged locations worldwide.

dont knock it till you have tried it... you thinking putting mods (aesthetic wise) is fun and addicting? A tune is 10x's better since its actually modding an output that clearly was the reason why one bought an AMG in the first place (hp and tq).
