So....this was pretty much an unwarranted overreaction...or flat out untrue?

here is an update. After I shipped my ECU to slav in Toronto it went back to Houston so jerry could switch it back to stock and unfortunately it still does not run right. The engine light is still on and it runs terribly like its on limp home mode. I called MB and told them that my engine light was on. They are picking it up today and dropping off a loaner. I am going to play dumb. If they see the small drill hole in the back of the ECU I guess I am SOL. Hopefully I can get this back to stock and let good be good enough. I have spent 450 on a rental car and 250 on shipping as for jerry at eurocharged he gladly said that he would refund me my money (700) after the holidays. If I ever did anything again it would be with renntech for a mb or dinan for a bmw as there is a reason that they are more expensive and do not void a warranty.

It was true dealer just called me and said that my injectors were fried and it needs a couple new ones and they are waiting for some from MB. He said that this is very rare and it never usually happens. I didn't know a tune could fry injectors. There are now 1500 miles on the car and I am grateful to have a loaner car from benz and the fact that they are fixing the issue under warranty. Its a shame that the tune can do that but I suppose nobody can guarantee anything and when a new car comes out they are basically guinea pig testing until they get it right. They tried there best Im sure and I hope that my debacle can be anothers mans perfect tuned rocket. Happy new year mb world!

I have never seen a tune fry injectors before, and we have done over 7000 of them!

Glad you got it figured out, and they are covering the repairs. If there is anything we can do for you please let us know.

Figures my car is 1 out of 7000 although I am not even sure there were 7000 2014 e63's made. It stinks but mistakes happen. Nobody is perfect. Life goes on. Thank you for trying your best and doing the right thing with the return of my money. Stand up company!!

how do injectors get "fried",.....dont they usually just get clogged? My friend (moron) accidently put 87 in his new m5 and it was riding rough, they replaced his injectors

Could have just been a bad part from the get go and had nothing to do with the tune.

I've never seen any tune "fry" injectors, and I've seen lots of tunes personally and others.
The tuner said they'd done 7000 tunes, not 7000 '14 E63's. 7000 tunes is a lot of work across a number of manufacturers.
Don't think that Renntech or Dinan are "factory" tuners either. Personal and direct observation of other's experiences after sale are far worse than yours. Factory warranty does NOT cover that. Magnuson-Moss Act regards after-market parts, Google it for details. Basically states after-market part has to be directly responsible for failure to deny claim based on it. No idea if Canada has similar, but wouldn't be surprised.
Vendor offered to help you make it right. Sounds like a stand-up guy, I've not bought anything from him but they seem to have stepped up. If OP doesn't thank you, I will since I've seen lots of "sub-optimal" after sales care.

I agree but this time it didn't work at all after the tune. Once I put the ECU in it didn't run right at all. I also agree that if you put a tune on I am on my own so I am going to let fast be fast enough and keep her stock. These machines are too expensive to fix if they break. Plus although I have a small ***** 550 hp is fast enough. It's not like 650 is gonna make it grow although I'm sure it would feel like it would temporarily. 😳

yup...this is true

tunes are faster no doubt, i got beat in half miles runs with xpter, at high speeds...Good for these events

for regular driving, we have plenty of power...

arguers for tunes will say it "awakens" the car....whatever that means ....id have to drive a tuned car to decipher myself...

to each their own

Yes he did. He apologized and is refunding me my money. Good guy good company. **** happens. It's not an exact science. I'm a chiropractor and have broken someone's ribs before. We are human mistakes occur. This isn't an exact science. If they came to Boston I would let them tune it again for sure.

Little old osteoporotic lady, wouldn't be surprised. Happens a lot during CPR on elderly folks if it is done right/with enough pressure.

Unfortunate though.

finally have my car back. They had to give me a new ECU and a couple new injectors all covered under warranty because they didn't know that I tried to get it flashed. If they did I assume my bill would have been around 5k. Phew got lucky. Happy new year AMGers!

Glad it got taken care off under warranty and too bad you had a bad experience.
I would be crying like a little girl if I had to put my car back to stock.
The ability to break lose at 40mph and beat on P Turbo, R8V10, early lambos etc puts a huge smile on my face.
