I'm on a boat! But which one?
I just checked WW website and it shows my car on the Asian Emperor that left on feb 1st with ETA in Halifax on the 11th. The problem is the date of loading on the boat is today... There is a boat also leaving today (turandot). Could it be a delay in system to "recognize" vin or a ship name error? Anyone had similar issues?
Anyways the good news is the car is on a boat, either coming on the 11th or the 18th!

Congrats and what Ben said. Check boat name first. Guys who hold note always like to know where property is.
Short wait left. Going to try finishing break-in this week here.

Haha, unless you live in Halifax, I don't think so.
8 days on the water. Another 2-7 days at the port in Halifax and at least 3-5 days on the train.
At best, you are looking at 15-21 days before you get the car.

Does anone have an idea of what could be going on? Yesterday morning the Asian Emperor turned back after entering the Celtic sea and "sheltering" was written in "destination" field. 64knots winds were happening then! It started heading back east in English channel and continued on to the North sea were it is now undetectable... Could it be heading back to Bremerhaven? Ship dammage? Going arround england from the north?
WW shows a feb 13th arrival in Halifax (2 day delay vs original Schedule).
Everyday added to wait time is a torture right now since I know it's finally coming!!

Bumming for ya.
North Atl not looking great, tail of crap that went through here heading thru there, sounds like they were going northern loop around. Big wind and top-heavy RoRo not great combo, barrel rolls really stress tie-downs.
Here's link for No. Atl. weather info including waves etc.
http://www.opc.ncep.noaa.gov/Atl_tab.shtml
If ship is too far out, it won't have signal, and if weather poor, cloud cover bad, can lose satellite signal too.
My car took it's time across, yours will make it.
Pretty much broken in here, haven't done WOT yet, but 155 pretty effortless. Spent 35-40 mi 100+ with zero traffic.
LMK if I can help more.

PS pic is position of AE 8 min ago or so. Moving along north. ETA 2-13 Halifax, so not bad. Dumpload of traffic in photo dead in water, so it's moving. Ferrari charged me 14k for airfreight, that time it was worth it. Mostly not. Get MB to offer bulk airfreight to AMG buyers for 6k each? Hmmm.

Thanks for the info! It poped back on the map this morning (in range) and indeed it's going arround north route!

Mine is sitting in Baltimore waiting for a truck to my dealer. Dealer wanted to send his own trailer to pick it up but they wouldn't release the car to him. Probably against some kind of trucker union's regs. In any case, hope to have it by the weekend.

in NoVA, maybe 40 miles from the port. But there's a lot of Merc dealers in the DC Metro area, so who knows how they will load the truck and route it. Could take two days to get here. Fortunately, the snow and ice have taken a breather, so it won't get held up for bad weather.
