ECU tune question
I have a '10 e63 AMG tune & sent my ecu over to Renntech to get it tune. Is there way for me to check that I now have a "tuned" ECU aside from Renntech's word. Do I simply have to rely on "butt meter" or go over the limiter 155mph to confirm that I now have a tuned ecu. Thanks in advance!

The best way to insure that you did in fact get a tune and more importantly to see just how effective the tune was is to dyno your car both before you send off the ECU and after you get it back but it sounds like you have already sent it off.

Yes already sent it & expect to get it back tomorrow. But reason in getting a tune is just to simply remove the limiter. Whatever HP/TQ I gain is just a bonus to me. Thx a bunch for the prompt response.

Review after ecu tune
So in a private strip I was able to check that the limiter is definitely off. Power or torque wise, I'd say its a minimal gain as my butt meter reading isn't a big on/off feeling. Very subtle improvement. Throttle response though is probably where the biggest difference in performance vs stock. Throttle. Response is now much more responsive over stock. That said, I'm overall pleased with the car. I'm glad that Im able to confirmed the limiter is off as I was able to do 165 mph and it was still climbing before I decided the lift off. Maybe I'll add a air filter later on but that's probably will be the end of modding this car. I have a black series amg steering wheel leather/Alcantara on its way & should be here any day now.
