Customized Order Placed: MY15 E63 Wagon

I just got my official PO # for my 15 wagon. I've been looking at ordering a wagon since April but it was too late to change an existing order to designo but too early to order the 15s. So after three months of limbo the production slots have finally opened up. I cannot be more excited for this car.

It's suppose to be built the second decade of September and a rough estimate of delivery is before the end of November, 2014.

The details:
052 designo Mystic Brown
861 Black Nappa Leather**(designo Mystic Red Package- just a formality to have 861)
B07 AMG Carbon Ceramic Braking System
B14 Carbon Fiber Engine Cover
SPC Special Order
W26 designo Natural Bamboo Trim
276 designo Mystic Red Leather Package
298 Rear Side Airbags (SPC)
502 Power Folding Mirror w/ Autodimming Driver & Rear
752 19-inch AMG 10-Spoke Wheels - Black
773 AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber Package
8U1 Factory Code
811 Bang & Olufsen Sound w/red. trunk space
839 Laminated Safety Glass with Acoustic Film
864 Rear-Seat Entertainment System
867 SPLITVIEW (SPC)
872 Heated Rear Seats
995 AMG Surround View Camera Package
997 Driver Assistance Package

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Wow, sounds nice. Is that brown color the same as the Dolimite Brown or a different shade new for 2015. Around what was the sticker and how much off were you able to manage if you don't mind me asking? Very tempting but I'm pretty happy with my 2012 and don't drive it a real lot and bought the extended warrantee good for around another 4 years. I can only imagine they'd probably be talking 50 grand if I was lucky for my car with 25K miles on it and then another 70 grand for the 2015. I just hope they keep making these cars with this much power or more for at least another 4 more years because I wont be until that time that I'm ready for a change.

designo Mystic Brown has actually been an offered color on the 212 E since its second model year when designo options were introduced for the US market. The color is a dark brown in the dark but when it's sunny it really shows the copper and gold undertones in the paint. It's a very rich color that has depth and complexity to it. It's also a bit darker than the Dolomite Brown (which I personally am not a huge fan of because it doesn't pop enough for me).

We don't know MSRP details etc. until about a month before production- or at least that's what I was told. I don't imagine it changing too much from the 14s which start at $102 and are very close to $137-40 range with everything added to it. I was able to work a decent discount with my dealer because I've got a good relationship with them- but in the grand scheme of things, the discount will not really factor into resale when these types of cars take a 50% hit in the first year.

I drove a 2013 E63 Wagon and had a blast in it, but for me it was just too hard to control that much power all to the rear wheels. I'm glad to order the 4matic version and it'll be easier to put all the power down on the line, especially in the damp Seattle weather. For that particular car it was a 13 with 10,000 miles and they sold it for $90,000 at the dealer. I figure you should get at least $70,000 if you were to trade in your 12.

My opinion, if I were you, is to simply wait for the next generation E-Class that will come out in a few years and order the AMG version of that. This life cycle is already almost over, MY2016 will probably be the last one before the style change. I too hope that they will still be making these huge power monsters.

2015 E63S sedan
Have you seen any image of what the 7 spoke wheels described in the order guide look like yet?
I'm waiting on receiving a PO# for a sedan now.

I have not which is why I decided to play it safe with the matte black 10 spokes for now. I'd love to see a real image so I can make an actual decision instead of not getting it simply because I haven't seen it yet.

kart125 said it looks like the C Sport Pack Wheels but I'm not sure what the source was on that: http://pictures.dealer.com/a/alderso...1d72c329dx.jpg

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Thanks for the advice, probably good advice as the next Gen will be something really different I'm sure and that's about the time I'll be ready to make a move. I just hope they keep making the wagons as I really like having a wagon especially one with this much power. It's strange with my car traction really does not seem to be a issue at all. Since I put on the Bridgestone Pole Positions I hook up great. I even did a off line start at the track with no traction control activated and hardly spun at all and ran a 12.2 time, I was surprised. I thought all hell is gonna break loose and be ready to let off a little bit. When I first got the car with the mostly worn stock Contis it would spin like crazy, so I guess that could be the difference, even at 10K miles like the one you drove the tires coulda been mostly worn, especially if the car had been driven hard. I'll have to look for a picture on the net of the mystic brown, I don't think I've seen that. Sounds good. I'm not really crazy about the Irridium silver on my car, but it's what it had when I bought it used, got a pretty good deal. Like you said it probably is still worth at least 70 grand especially with the fairly low miles on mine. I paid 80 for it about a year and half ago.

I'm thinking they'll probably look more like the SLS ones. I'd prefer to get the 5 spoke forged ones over a 7 spoke style if they'll still be offered too. Otherwise i'll probably go with the 10 spoke black ones too.

So I did some digging on MB UK's website and I think I found the 770 option 7 spoke wheel. Attached is a screen cap. However, there's a few things that don't add up. The optional 770 wheels they show are not available for the AMG- only for the E Class Sport- and the wheel and tire sizes are different than what's offered on the AMG. I'm starting to think that they simply listed the wrong option code on the Dealer Ordering Guide. I wouldn't be surprised if that wheel is changed back to option 785 which were the twin 5 spokes from last year- they only offered those wheels for one year anyways.

What do you guys think?

I found it here on Page 22:

I think (hope) you're right. On the Netstar, the code for the 5 spoke wheels is still on for the MY 2015 E63 and there was no 770 code. This was as of last week.

Congrats on getting your order in. Looking forward to seeing it. That approximate four month delivery will be great if they can follow through, especially with your designo options. My designo interior added one month to my seven month wait.

Thanks- we will definitely have to do a photoshoot once this car comes in! Was your seven month wait from when you placed the order and got a PO# from the dealer?

Yes, it was almost seven months to the day. Another delay I avoided was in not ordering any carbon fibre trim which at that time was under constraint.

It says in the title of this picture it's the Mystic Brown, I don't really see much of a difference, maybe the Mystic is a little darker and copper color it looks like. Ya, I think I do like the Mystic better.

If that's the case they definitely labelled it wrong. Yeah- the CL is Mystic Brown.

dammit, my dealership is slacking. I put a deposit down 2 months ago. Just read this post and immediately went down there to see if I could get a po # and a build date. Was told they would work on it today. How confident did they seem on actually getting a Nov delivery??

My PO# has an actual estimated production date of the second decade (second 10 days) of September 2014. So based on this, they can give me a rough estimate of when I can expect the car to show up at the dealer. So this is fairly set in stone for my situation. We can expect to get a more precise completion date from the factory as my status starts changing further along in the process, and as we get closer to that estimated date.

Your dealer needs to get that production slot for anything to be actually certain with the factory, and for any sort of order to be official with Mercedes-Benz- anything else beforehand "is just talk."

Not to burst your bubble or anything bro but I ordered a 2014 e63 amg s January 2014 and I got the designo mystic red package which added at least a month to the delivery and since you're e63 seems to be one of the first orders there is a really good chance you won't see get delivery until next year sadly. Mine will be arriving in august after 7 months of waiting.

diamond white
Mystic red interior with Black piano lacquar trim
carbon fiber exterior package
Bang and Olufsen Sound system.
Black 10 spoke wheels with red brake calipers (S only option)
Splitview Command
Panoramic Sunroof
$124,000 is how much I'm paying for this car.

Thank you Salim for the data point. I too heard that designo adds 6-8 weeks to the order from the dealer and first hand experience from a few forum members. September is when production starts on these cars so I wouldn't be surprised if my date gets bumped a month or two due to the options. Hopefully, though, production is so far away that they can already anticipate the order ahead of time so there won't be too many delays- I hope that's not wishful thinking.

Congrats on the order, it's gonna be a hot wagon based on your option list. Like Salim pointed out, since you ordered designo (I thought about designo as well when I placed my order), it generally required 1-2 months production time. And you live in West Coast, I would say Early Jan 2015 would be a safe estimate. Not bad to take your new toy as a new year gift.

For some reason these 'random' colors look better on a wagon than the sedans. It's almost like a sedan has to be white, black, silver otherwise it's ugly. The brown on that wagon is just WOW. Congrats on your new ride!
