I would have upgraded the audio if they had Burmester for the E63, as I have and like that in my 911. I'm sticking with the Harmon-Kardon over B&O. I also would have also picked the rear entertainment system if it played Blu-Ray, but since it doesn't (and is therefore incompatible with everything we buy for the kids), I'll look for something aftermarket.
Euro delivery, as in, you go to Germany to pick-up and they then send it home for you? I was told many times over recent years (even when putting my order in for my current wagon back in 2013) that there was no OSD for AMG cars.
I took OSD of the last V70R ever sold into the US and had a blast. Enjoy your experience.
Yeah that is Euro delivery! You go to Europe enjoy the german roads, visit the AMG factory if you want, fancy hotels and restaurant. You put a few miles on the car and then drop it to get it shipped back to the US.
Doing so you could save a few thousands off MSRP.
OP nice color choice. But for the interior I would go darker. Do you have kids?
That sand leather + bamboo combo looks terrific. My local dealer didn't have pictures of either bamboo or curly maple. He had samples of an old "natural maple", which looked pretty good with sand, but I now prefer the bamboo. I will change my order. Thanks for the great suggestion!
We do have three kids. I love rich, medium-brown leather colors. When the kids damage it, well, we'll consider that patina, just like on a nice pair of shoes or a baseball glove.

A friend has the designo Light Brown on designo Curly Maple on his E63 Wagon and that combo is also killer. It's very hard to find pictures of real cars with these interior colors and trims. I've been combing through all listings of E63s on Cars.com to find photos of designo interiors. I've built up a whole catalog on my computer of all the different options.
This is designo Sand on designo Curly Maple (please note much darker lighting conditions):
Although unorthadox, my build is designo Mystic Red on Bamboo.
This is desgino Light Brown on desgino Curly Maple:
Although a more unorthodox choice, I'm going with Mystic Red with the Bamboo.

Not sure what trim you saw but MB has only offered Bamboo on the R231 SL and W212 E. ML's trims are limited to burl walnut, black ash, matte brown ash, and designo black piano lacquer. Previous gen MLs had even fewer interior trim choices.

That looks pretty amazing. I've also seen seats that were all in classic red (also available for Canada) with no black center seat. That color would look really good in the E.

Ok I double checked and your are right. That was actually matte grown ash on the ML. I really like it. I didn't realized that bamboo trim was coated.
Car is in B3 with expected finish date of Nov 17. I'm going to do Euro delivery so redelivery probably won't be until Feb, 2015. My German pick up date is Nov 27.
