Airstrip Attack 7 Videos
Took my car out to Airstrip Attack 7 hosted by Shift Sector at Coalinga Municipal Airport. Great event as usual from the SS crew, so thank you guys again. Was a 1/2 roll race event where you could either start from a roll, or go from a dig to maximize traps. I ran a couple times from a dig, but quickly realized it was worthless with my stock street tires. Best trap was 162mph with just Renntech Intermediate Tune, RADO downpipes, and a little VP 101 poured in for good measure. Will get some drag radials for next event and I'm sure 164mph traps will be possible.
Car ran strong and never skipped a beat. Below are the couple of vids I was able to get before my Iphone ran out of juice.
Me vs 2014 Porsche 991 Turbo S (GIAC race tune, full exhaust, race gas)
Porsche trapped 165mph that day!!!
Clean start from 40mph roll
Both cars have passenger
Me vs 2013 Dodge Viper (stock 640hp version)
Clean start from 50mph roll
Will be sure to get a gopro for upcoming NFZ event.

Nice job Eric, you and Arnie were close--- I had a similar set up with my 991 TT-S (GIAC plus exhaust) but just sold the car for the 458 (which is slower LOL) but an F car is an F car.

I just spend some time driving the 991 Turbo and the 458 around a race track at Exotics Racing in Las Vegas. The 911 Turbo was definitely the better car for a daily driver and was very fast. But the 458 is in a different league in terms of driving pleasure. The sound, looks, handling and responsiveness were just astonishing. It truly feels special. I even preferred it over a spanking new Lambo Huracan that I also drove around the track at top speed.

On a 2013 E63 the full Renntech tune has about 30 more horsepower and 40 lbs-ft of torque than the Renntech intermediate tune. Not a massive amout of new power but enough that the E63 might have been as fast or just slightly slower than the 991 Turbo S in that race.

Man that's moving! Congrats.
Think the fastest Amg trapped 174.
There were a couple Amg/bmw shoot outs. Unfortunately we lost both to an E36 M3. That car must be SERIOUSLY modded.

Amazing outcome vs the modded 991. Does the VP race gas make a significant difference for your car? My car has the Intermediate Tune as well and I have very mixed results with different brands of petrol/ octane boosters/adding toluene, causing my 100-200kmh to fluctuate between 6.8s and 8.1s. This engine is just so sensitive to fuel that I have yet to find the best combination.
