No issues with 18" AMG wheels, and I just picked up this car. Lots of issues with other cars that had 19" low profile tires. Just getting in and out of Manhattan (FDR) and LI x-pkwy I had problems, can't imagine having to dodge potholes there on a daily basis.

I have to imagine having forged will help, but eventually those too will crack.

You have 19's in your photos...

Did you put 18's on it?

Nope -- I typed that from my phone, so I left a few things out of that post (sorry). The 18" wheels were on my E55 for about 3.5 years, lots of cosmetic damage from road/salt but thankfully no cracks or bends.
