I just heard from my dealer and even though I gave them the service bulletin for the front grill fix, they said they are going to change some kind of seal on the windshield (and not do the grill repair.) not sure if this is new or I'm just going to have to do battle with them if this isn't the fix...
I've heard of the windshield trim being an issue on other cars. The method to diagnose the grill is to put tape over a certain spot, drive it and see if the noise goes away. Maybe they did that and still heard yours?
What is described here has been extremely helpful. I have recently aqcuired a 2014 E250cdi Estate, and noticed that between 90-120km/h there was a whistle that sounded like it was coming from either the windshield or the AC system.
I removed the grey plastic piece/trim surrounding the gril, used some foam tape in the inside and problem solved. A 5€ DIY solution to what was clearly an annoying noise in such a comfortable a premium car. Pictures attached o of the before and after to help those who have the same problem to the same.

My dealer wouldn't cover under warranty and wanted $500 to perform the mod.
Anything tricky to removing this section of the grill? I'm at work and the car is at home, but I also have this same noise. Has it stayed away since you put the foam in? I have no problems tearing apart a transmission, but for some reason I always have bad luck w/ plastic clips!
I get it between 100km/h and 130 or so. Sounds like an intermittent whistle. It's annoying. Any one else get this? I have scoured the front of the car for something and can't see anything obvious.
Interestingly enough when I drove another 2014 e63 at a DE it had the same whistle. Anyone?
