I get it between 100km/h and 130 or so. Sounds like an intermittent whistle. It's annoying. Any one else get this? I have scoured the front of the car for something and can't see anything obvious.

Interestingly enough when I drove another 2014 e63 at a DE it had the same whistle. Anyone?

My 2014 E63 AMG S wagon had a similar issue. Thought at first it was from a faulty windshield seal. The dealer identified it with the aid of a AMG service bulletin as a design fault in a clip on the grill fascia. Unfortunately it took two attempts ay my local MB dealer before they eliminated it completely.
I have attached a copy of my service record if that assists you further. Good luck.

hawkam68, I looked at your attachment -- do you have the AMG service bulletin number? It will probably be an easier conversation with my dealer if I give them that first, then tell them the issue.

 

How loud is this whistle? Can you hear it past the radio?

 

At low radio volumes, it is noticeable.

 

Ok... I don't even notice it with the radio off... Guess it varies who is affected

 

Chocofishez described it pretty accurately -- for me it only occurs between 60-90mph, and not all the time. Same pitch as when you hear the wind whistling outside. When a) it happens and b) I'm not bumping the B&O it's annoying

My E63 S sedan has this issue as well. Will be fixed on May 18 when a loaner becomes available.

My service dealer is aware of the problem and has already fixed two E63's with it. Requires an overnight stay so the grill can be fixed and the glue dried.

 

Do they have to take the whole bumper down??

 

I am not sure. All I know it the glue part of the repair needs to dry overnight.

Mercedes of Rockville center. They are an amazing dealership in terms of their service experience. The owner is a huge huge car fanatic. They are also a Renntech dealer.

I finally heard this whistling ... Will get it addressed next oil change

 

I had mine in last week for this. Unfortunately, one of the grill clips broke when they were addressing it, so now I'm waiting for a new grill...

 

4 months later...no whistling...(knock on wood)
