New 63 owner Questions/Impressions

I've had my 2014 E63 for two weeks now after coming from an E55 and have a couple questions concerning the car that I'm hoping the guys on this forum can shed some light on.
First, how do I permanently shut off the ECO start function? I've made it "inactive" on the dash menu but it sometimes still activates and I have to use the dash button again. Doesn't seem to be consistent at all. What an annoying feature.
Also, after parking the car in the garage for hours there is still something running in the front corners of the car. A pump of some kind maybe? Is this normal?

Do I like the car? Yes and maybe. It's so far advanced from my 06 E55 that it seems unnecessarily and overly complicated with features I'm never going to use or figure out how to operate. The 55 felt more responsive and had more grunt down low but the 63 pulls harder at the top. All in all, I really liked the way the 55 felt more like a muscle car than the 63. Still getting used to the styling which I think isn't quite as appealing as the 55 but still pretty nice. This is my fourth AMG: CLK55, SL55, E55 and now the E63.

I really like the Cardinal Red color. So nice to finally own a MB that isn't black, silver or white.

2014 E63S; AMS 100 octane ECU dyno tune; EDOK TCU tune; BB intakes; sprintbooster
Congrats

1. Once you turn off Eco it should not come back on unless you dialed back to comfort from s or s+

2. On a hot day the front fan will run to cool the car engine down and the other whine/turbine noise is the fans in the LED headlamps

Sorry you're not blown away by the 63... Sounds like you miss the e55

Throw a good tune on your E63 such as a Renntech full tune and you will think your E55 was slow slow slow -- even from a dig. A strong tune completely transforms the car from very fast to beast.

With a Renntech box tune and a Sprintbooster on your gas pedal it will transform your new ride into a maniacal muscle machine. You won't be able to take your foot out of it:

I don't have an E63 (yet...), but it's clear from many other posts that you can't permanently disable the ECO function. It will ALWAYS default to ON when you start the car. Even the Chief Editor on the Private Lounge posted his way to get around it which is something like one hand to push the Start button while the other pushes the Sport button. That turns off ECO.

i'm thinking about the spring booster, I hate the delay. Is it something you can install yourself?

Damn. That's what I was afraid of with the ECO START. Can't permanently disable it. Guess I'll just have to get used to pushing the eco button off along with the traction control every time I get in the car. LOL

There's fans in the headlights? Got to be kidding me. Although, that does seem to be where the sound is coming from.

Yes. I was sad to see the 55 go. It was one of my all time favorite cars. But, I'm located only about 12 miles from Renntech and know them well so maybe a little tune will change my mind. Any tips on what gets the best results for the $$?
