As is often the case I spent Father's Day doing errands for other mothers and fathers but it's all good. Today is my day; got a chance to iron-x the 63 then wash it down real well and then apply a synthetic Maguires sealant to it which I really have grown to love. Here are some shots in the process of working on it
The iron x works great this is my first time using it... Takes several applications for it to get out all the iron and I should have clay barred the car to allow it to penetrate the rust under wax but it still worked well
I was looking through detail Image's website and will purchase the wash and dry shampoo with the clay bar formula already added to the mix. Will see how that turns out.
I had an e class(black), clay barred once and it was amazing......not had it done to my cls since buying it new back in '12long overdue.......
guess I'll be ahead on my S; it needs it BAD lol
kudos for doing your carI'll wash mine, but leave the wax and clay to the more experienced
Seems the brushed aluminum finish didn't like the iron x.... Left these subtle spots that look like water spots that are very hard to see but not coming out.... Can only see it from a foot or two ... Will clay this and Polish
I love mowing LOL, it also takes me about an hour and a half to water all my tree's and shrubs
Yup!! Takes me an hour to mow and edge and cut the beds with the trimmer and I installed a beer holder on my toro self propelled mower lol!!! Have a lil iPod shuffle that gets me through the 1 hour.... My neighbors must think I'm the cheapest guy as I'm he only one with a mower !! Most think I'm the hired help

Thanks Munich, I agree it's a cool purple drip from these pinpoint rust spots... Also I hate that iron x smell.... Ugh. And I had to empty basically the entire bottle on the car... $16 a bottle!
Gotta rinse and come back in 5 minutes as more purple drips are formed! But highly effective and got the wheels ridiculously clean
Used some #0000 super fine steel wool to clean the exhaust tips to perfect shine

I am already looking toward my next AMG maybe model year 2017 or 2018. That is why I am asking. I am definitely going with biturbo next time just for the better tuning options.

Yeah I dunno... Doesn't have the results that traditional paste or liquid wax has be the five foot results are not bad.... Have to use like 1/2 a bottle.. That's how they nail you
Looks good - now we just got to get you started on some of the nicer waxes. For spray waxes I love Optimum Car Wax. It works awesome and does not take a lot.
