I personally prefer the looks of the 10 spoke base wheels over the optional split 5 spoke wheels
Who likes which
You are in good company I would hazard to guess. The trend among manufacterer and aftermarket produced wheels have been an increasing number of spokes. Three spoke, then five spoke, then ten spoke and currently, even more.
Concept Lincoln Continental Wheels At NY Autoshow.
I guess if the trend continues we are headed back to solid wheels
For myself, I am atavistic. I would have gone with 5 spoke black if available on my order.
I've wanted these wheels for about 3 years. I had a CLS55 that I wanted to put these wheels on. When it was time to get the W212, I spent extra time, and then extra money to get the black on black that had these wheels and not the 18's.
Now that I have them, I want the 10 spoke. Even though they are INSANE, even though I've wanted them forever, even though they are forged and lighter, I still want what I don't have. There is however a guy here who has a black on black with my stock wheels and he's lowered with some fancy ground effects kit. That to me has renewed my love for these wheels.
Now all I need is a guy with 10 spoke wheels to slam his ride and ruin my set up all over.
On a side note, if someone wanted to trade the 10 spoke for the 5 spoke I would be open to it.

Scroll up. there's a guy who has the 10-spoke, but prefers the 5-spoke.

hot damn that looks nice......I have those same wheels collecting dust......they look better on your car
I have the split 5 on my '11 350 wagon (winter) and the black and steel optional wheels for my summers. The car is cuprite brown and is stunning with the summer wheels. I have the 10 spoke titanium on my '15 AMG mocha black wagon and don't think I will change.
