It's an awesome feature, no doubt. I love it when I'm just coming to a red light and know I'll be there for a good second. I know my wife doesn't use it cause she doesn't always know how to engage it so she would just rather step on the brakes until it's time to go. I just don't know if I would tell my wife if the P gets stuck to use that as I think my wife would better understand it if it happens to just hit stop while in stoped and get out to see if she can see what is wrong after making sure it was in park when the door is open. Just a matter of preference base on the ladies.

My 5 and 4 year old are always fighting and we just got my 16 month old walking ...

Your kids will grow out of fighting in no time, in fact. You and your wife will be pleasantly surprise when it does( where is the noise, am I in the right house ). Given them about a year or two. Then they will be taking care of the baby so you guys can have some down time. Enjoy the baby just learning to walk and constantly having to worry they don't get hurt, but gotta love them. Your blessed with 3 kids man.

Shifting issue
Hey there, experiencing a similar problem with my 2014 cls 63 amg S,wanted to know if you had gotten your new shifter installed and if that was it or was there further diagnostics of the issue? Thanks

Seems to be a common issue. Just had my shifter replaced by the dealer on my 2016 at around 52k miles. Would occur very infrequently at first, degraded over time where I was having to open the door to force the interlock to shift the car into park more frequently.

2013 GLK 250 shifter issue
My GLK 250 will not shift from park to drive ( D) or reverse ( R) occasionaly during the cold days ( winter only ) when parked overnight in my driveway. I can start the engine and shifter will not shift to D or R. I have asked my dealership to check tramission oil level and condition and checked my main battery. All checked found OK. This shifter issue has stated after MB's emission recall repair completed on February 2022. I am able to run the engine for longer time and restart engine again to use shifter from P to R or D now. I am not sure this method will work in a long term. Any suggestions to resolve this issue ?

Go ahead and use a scanner to read ISM live data to confirm this.

else find a place that can provide you with timely service.
Don't wait for last minute display warning...
the day when ISM finally expires it translates as a tow truck ride. Not necessarily convenient.
nothing MB is ever as simple as it seems

Based on MB dealership's recommendation , I have replaced my GLK 250's New ISM and programmed. This replacement was done few days ago and shifter issue did not reoccur yet. Usullay shifter issue occurs on cold days with cold start only. I am monitoring now.

Thank you for your feedback. ISM is a controlled unit by MB and can be done in MB delaeship only. I have replaced with new ISM now in MB dealership. Cost was over $2k ( parts and labour).

These units fail like clockwork by virtue of internal connection issues.

194K km is my current in odometer. This issue started only last year after emission recall repair done by MB. It was started with occasional issue in cold weather condition only. This year was more frequently and hopefully ISM replacement fixed this issue. I have not seen this issue since replacement completed. It was done on last Monday ( 12/04/2023).
