Steering wheel trim and airbag upgrade.

I Just wanted to give a shoutout to xxgenericsnxx and www.modmybenz.com for helping me get these pieces.

I don't plan to do many mods but could not help this one. It's how it should have been from the factory. And now makes the stock look so cheap.

Cool box!

Info can be found in xxgenricsnxx thread here. https://mbworld.org/forums/w212-amg/...-thread-2.html

Looks awesome. I am guessing the airbag cover and steering wheel cover needs to be removed for install. Nice mod.

2018 E63S,
That is a tempting mod but looks like big $$$$. Would you mind providing a hint on the cost of the parts? Is it something you can do yourself at home?

You have to remove the airbag which requires a tool that you insert through the bottom of the steering wheel. I'd advise you to see a technician to do the install, the whole thing takes under an hour. You can PM me for more details.

It's all OEM parts. It's just an airbag from an SL and it's all plug and play which is what keeps my mind at ease. You can't beat OEM!

Knowing Me and my luck I would somehow plug the airbag into the turn signal and the next time I took a turn the airbag would blow up in my face.

A simple modification with a very powerful visual impact. Looks great!

Question, can the trim alone be replaced (without the leather-stitched airbag cover)?

Wouldn't mind seeing "Airbag" replaced with "AMG"

Kingleg: Love the stitched airbag. Thought I would share my steering wheel swap as well Steering and bag from 2015 . Now just need to replaced the steering wheel column with 2015 version to get the buttons and paddles to work...

Yes absolutely. Those are two independent parts.

Today I received a AMG steering wheel trim for my C63 507. Looks great!
I bought it from my dealer Mercedes-Benz. I'm happy!
