07' E63
I just did this last night on my 2007 E63. Do this:

1. Unscrew all the bolts to the oil Pan except leave 3 unscrewed but still attached, one on each front side and one in the middle back side to start.

2. Notice there's a square welded nut on the oil pan towards the center front passenger side. This is for one to use in order to prise away the oil Pan from the engine with one of the bolts you just extracted. Simply screw it in and because there a metal face beyond the threads, it will in effect prise away thenoil Pan the more you screw the bolt in!!! I, of course, only figured this out after taking a rubber mallet and plastic wedge to the edge of the pan!!!

3. Have a Oil collector do some sort ready to receive any run-off from what will be a completely filled oil Pan. That bolt hole leaves at least a pint of oil left at the bottom of the Pan.

4. Use a plastic wedge to effectively prise the oil Pan away from the other three sides. With the screws still in place, the Pan should remain relatively Level.

5. Then unscrew the one rearside screw and support from below with your hand. Get the bucket ready and tip that end of the pan to spill a good amount of oil from the pan.

6. Support the pan with one hand to level it out and with your other screw the remaining 2 bolts. Lower pan and tip the remaining oil/sludge into your bucket. Keep some sort of receptacle to recieve drops of oil from the engine whilst the pan is being tended to.

7. Thoroughly clean the pan with a plastic/rubber scraper, followed by towels, the spray it down with Brakleen, to ensure all oil is out.

8. Thoroughly clean the rim of the pan where the RTV was used to affix the pan to with either loctite Gasket Cleaner and let it sit for 20 minutes otherwise using Brakleen with a plastic pry tool or other with blue shop towels to rub away the remaining RTV. You'll want to do same with the surface of the engine from which you pulled the pan.

9. Use either choice of RTV Sealant (Mercedes, Yamabond, Ford etc.) along with a Caulk Gun and lay a medium size bead of sealant all around the sealing edge of the Oil Pan. Before install, you'll want to double-check to see if any oil dripped along the edge of the surface where you'll reattach the pan. Some brakleen on a blue lint free towel works well here.

10. Lay directly underneath the area with protective eyewear so you can see through the holes of the pan to line up with the screw holes and carefully place the pan directly and exactly. My E63 has some Oil Cooling line brackets that needed to be loosened in order to clear the passenger side edge of the pan. Have the bolts ready and hand tighten each only a few turns all around. Then stagger tighten each bolt gently such that the pan is relatively Level lay being gradually tighten to the engine. As you are doing this, you may notice RTV oozing into the holes where haven't placed a screw. Before doing so, be sure to use a pick or toothpick etc. to effectively remove the RTV before insertion of the bolt. Only hand tighten though and let it sit overnight to set before tightening to 8Nm next day.
