Sorry. Yet another tire thread!

This is in part due to the swaying issue I had in the rear with the new PSS's. I posted a few times on that issue. Interesting thing is that the sway issue seems to have disappeared after I got about 2 months of wear on the tires. So maybe I don't need to move away from the PSS's?
I know the car was originally equipped with Conti's and I really never had that sway issue until the PSS's went on the rear.
Basically, what I am after is if anyone can tell why I should not go with the Conti DW's. Wear would not be a reason because I only got about 11,000 out of my front PSS's.
Plus, the DW's are cheaper than the PSS's.
Anyway, thanks in advance.

Finally someone mentioned about rolling diameter differences damaging AWD system!!! I have mentioned this several time because I read it somewhere before but never got an answer. I'm not sure if it will be the same for MB's AWD system, too. More reasons to stick with RWD.

btw 4matic is pretty forgiving in terms of tolerance as subi's are more like 1.5% and bmw x drive is more like 1%.... some audis are as high as 5%, unless they have a open diff like a Audi 4000 Quattro which has no tolerance.... porsche cayenne has a 30% tolerance
fwiw, i have had 3 audi b5 s4's and ran tires with well beyond 5% difference (like when replacing rears but not front's when i used to be poor in college lol) with no problems and they all had over 200K miles when i sold them without ever cooking my awd transfer case.

That would kill the wheel tire warranty wouldn't it?
dishonest dealer probably wouldnt even bother checking and would just let your transfer case implode and then blame you for having out of spec tires and not cover it under warranty
