You are not paying. It's inder warranty. It's not their money. HQ pays it. So they can be dodgy, trust me

The op stated he is paying for this; it is his money; though I can believe it's cheaper to reman a tranny than replace one

Quote: even a weistec built transmission probably wouldnt of prevented that then as the weistec build uses stock output shaft.... must of been some manufacturing defect in your output shaft for it to break on just a tune

Note: Weistec Engineering thoroughly inspects the entire transmission upon arrival. During the build process it is important to understand that wear and tear items (such as clutches, seals, and gaskets) are replaced. Parts such as input shafts, output shafts, casing, etc. are not replaced in the build process.

edit: i do see weistec cryogenically hardens the shafts and gears so that should give it about 30% more strength..... but still think original shaft on this car must of had some freak defect to break on tune only car when many others have pushed stock 722.9 tranny well past m157 tune only power levels with no issues
Agree to the edit , most likely it was defective from amg

HE IS PAYING TO do HIMSELF. ( strengthen it )
They did analysis and diagnostic, report which will be send to HQ after shows that they got full right to order new trans from Germany. This the way it works.

p.s. brabus handles 1300+ Nm on completely stock transmission.

Let's clear this up : I'm fixing rebuilding my old trans , dealer was ok with replace my trans under warranty , I said no , I will launch the car all day long I'll snap the shaft again . So I could wait till new oem trans comes from Germany , 2 weeks or so ? And than take the car a part again to do the w3 turbo swap . My original plan is to get w4 when availble , so I'll sleep better with stronger trans . I'm paying for everything and for what ever is bad in my trans

I don't think launching the car damages the tranny. Does it wear it...? Yes but I don't think your car makes enough power / torque to just go through transmissions like that.

it will make enough , that's the problem , not tomorrow , not in 2 month , next year , but than I would not have to go back to the transmission deal
