leather on my steering wheel is sticky
The leather on the steering wheel has become sticky.
Its bugging me.
dealer says this is natural and comes from the leather absorbing oils from my skin. Seems correct because the stickiness is greatest on the right side. Soap and water hasn't helped.
Anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks in advance

You're a heartless bunch, the man enjoys his car...literally the sensation of torque and thrust is orgasmic
Just thank your lucky stars you do not have an alcantar stitched wheel!
on a more serious note, Good luck with the clean up!

Apply lightly and more as needed.

I do have Alcantar on the 3 and 9 pm position
It is the leather at the top of the wheel that is sticky. Yes, I tried rubbing alcohol, and bug and tar remover.
The IPA worked best. But didn't completely clean the wheel.

Just make sure you don't apply DEET (mosquito repellent) and then touch anything, that stuff melts plastic and can damage many surfaces. Forgot to see if you were in a tropical area.

anyone ever find a solution for this?
I don't really have the sticky problem, just the oiliness that I want to clean up and restore the matte finish to the steering wheel.

Took my car in for leveling issues and mentioned in the morning when I shift to drive and step on the gas the rpm changes but the car is still. This is at very light throttle. Its not an issue but maybe they can look into it.
After getting the car back i noticed the exhaust sound was different when you let off the gas, I turn the radio off to be sure... When you hit the paddle to up/down shift it does respond. Where as before it did but very slow. It is a totally different car in terms of shifting and the sound.
The leveling sensors I think was my fault. I had a chassis wash and then parked the car for like 2 weeks during the holidays. I then took it out and go the level error and did not notice any issues.. but now i know the ride was much stiffer like it was in S1 mode.

I am really out of it today..I recieved a new steering
for this same issue. In my case it was coming off like dust in my hard during long drive. They installed a new wheel. I ask for the wheel that was all leather but they have to match what is there...
