Value of OEM 2014 E63 complete (steel) brake kit?

I might want to sell the set once I get the car, 6,000-10,000 miles on rotors and pads. Is there a market for these, and for about how much?

Are they the "Silver" or "Red" brakes? The silver calipers are equipped on the regular E63 AMG cars and the red calipers are only found on the E63 "S" AMG cars.

The E63 S AMG red caliper brakes are awesome. Motor Trend tested an M5 Comp Package and E63 S AMG 4Matic Sedan from 60 MPH to 0 and the M5 had the Carbon Ceramic brake package. The E63 S with "Steelies" stopped in the exact 106 Ft that the M5 CP w/CC Brakes stopped. Now of course after a few runs they wouldn't, but you get the point.

My point here is that the red calipers (6 piston front/4 piston rear) do have nice value and are a great brake package. Not sure what you could sell them for. I know they're not cheap and the E63 non-S cars would probably be your best target market.

No. The red S calipers are bigger. They are 6 piston front and 4 piston rear.

No they are not. Gray or red calipers, are the same exact calipers.

They are painted red on the PP and S models from factory.

I'm guessing the CCB amber calipers are the same too? Those are going for cheap on EBay (no rotors/pads/lines of course).

I was wrong, you're correct. In researching this, I noticed that both have 14.2 cross drilled/slotted rotors as well. Kind of dumb of Mercedes to not upgrade the rotor size to 15" and use larger 6/4 piston brakes on the S. Understandably they want to sell the carbon ceramic option, but a little chintzy in my opinion.

Yes. The PP and S versions simply got red calipers, see my post above.

?
Don't you need a ECU upgrade to run CCBs?
TIA

OEM on EBay, from Germany, the complete set new is $13k and can supposedly be installed with your typical brake tools, no ECU work required. This is a decent price considering $13k in 2012 before inflation and $8k in 2016 as options, and you don't even get two sets of brakes (recoup $2k-$3k on the red steelies). Also, aftermarket CC Brembo kits are way, way more money, as are F10 M5 and C7 Z06 CCB kits.

I had the same thought when I was poking around eBay and saw them.
