It could be RS might be faster when the car is stock, since they designed it to match the stock power curve. But when the car is tuned, it may not be optimal with the gains in power.

Yeah, the 23psi thing is weird. That's the only time I've logged data in S mode, will try it again. I did see a post on another forum with a member mentioning the same. Again, mine might simply be bad data, but figured I would share.
Will launch at higher rpms next time...will try around 2500.

Believe it not I found one really easy and practical way to launch it which seems to work really well is to use the brake hold feature when coming to a complete stop, then ease into gas and nail it. I find this engages the clutch more quickly than just regular mash and go. Give it a shot.

The Only thing I can see is that your IAT's could actually be a lot better do you have stock cooling? My 14 S was about the same cooling and it was super annoying. Make sure that your Aux coolant tank the one by the ecu Doesn't have a bunch of air. They need to be vacuum filled but they will eventually purge most of it out with a couple of times just opening the res when its cold, letting the air out, topping off almost over full pull top hose off just enough to let the last bit of air (Filling the entire reservoir) the clamping again. After awhile you'll notice there will not be any Air bubbles. When its running it wont look foamy. The next is making the Pump run FULL TIME. The pumps on these cars I believe are the same Pierburg pumps on the SLS etc, They move some water but are controlled by the computer. My pump would only Kick on if IAT's got over 100 degrees or so and only come on enough to get them back down to 90-110 degrees. When you're at the track and waiting at idle the pump will be on but not at a high power. I wired my pump tp run 100% of the time even with the car off if I need it and since then cruising, IAT's stay around 10-15 degrees above Ambient and even after hard runs NEVER see 120 or so (If ambient is in the 70s). Your car should add some timing getting the temps down. I have an Untuned car and see more timing at WOT. I'll see if I can find some logs. Hope that helps!

I was thinking about this earlier. I think this may be why power braking launches better than RS. I'd like to see a boost comparison between the two techniques.

Yes me too, I know that with race start it gets close but doesn't make much at all. I'm curious to see if the Boost solenoid is activated when stopped but power braking or in race start. I've bypassed my Solenoid and experimenting with a MBC. So far it makes a good amount of boost from a stop, power braking. I wish tracks were open right now lol! Also makes full boost in all gears now. I think before it wouldn't make full boost in 1st and 2nd but I could be wrong.

its just that you;re traps went from 122ish on 93oct and then to 124-126 on 93/race gas mix which would indicate your car was knocking / pulling timing on pump gas

No the torque limits that I think are being discussed are the limits in the trans (At least that's my guess from tuning GM stuff) Torque management only allows a certain pre programmed limit to be churned through the trans not to break stuff and not have such a harsh transition. By just allowing it to make more boost all the safety parameters are still in tact but is most likely pulling timing or something. Going to do some pulls tonight with a couple buddies, I'll log the runs and see what we find out. Keep in mind my car is NOT tuned.

Thats about what I thought. I'm able to get full Boost or what ever I set it for in first gear. Here's a screen shot that I have saved. Obviously didnt leave on that much but just wanted to see. Also didn't throw any CEL.

looks like you hit full boost at around 3000 rpm.... I will try to see if i do the same next time i take the car out

Ugh, so true. It's so complicated that it's essentially useless...and that's not even taking into consideration that it's slower than power braking. I guess it sounds cool though :-/

As far as the MBC its nothing fancy just getting the right "Controlled" leak from the vacuum and using a restriction so it doesn't create to much making the response slow and causing spikes. I'll post up the setup no problem its no secret. On the way home I attempted an actual Brake Boost while moving my brakes and the car were quite confused but it did work lol

It is a pain! The thing I ran into is the time it allows you to do race start. I got it to build some boost but when it really started kicking it would shut off.
