RS is definitely a cooler experience than brake torquing... that is when RS works...

Glad to hear that I am not the only one that has issues with getting staged and having RS work.....7/10 it does not and it just bogs and wastes a pass.

seems like these cars have a mind of their own. it is a hit or miss to get a good launch. no technique works consistently.

Moving to different software. Renntech has been absolutely perfect. No lag when moving from complete stop, no jerkiness, car flies and is a rocket. Just curious to see how a more aggressive tune will do on the street and track. Stay tuned.

odd that others with renntech still have a bit of a lag and the jerkiness

well if you don't feel it in your car... then it doesn't exist. Nice for others to get a bigger sampling before making a determination; glad you like it I'll likely go with renntech too

cheers

So far Eurocharged are the only guys I heard of that are saying they can remove TCU torque limits on stock turbos.

I still dont believe it until we see it.

New software installed. Eurocharged true stage 2 software. Need to get to track and when EC Orlando opens will do the custom thing. Car running great so far.

There are many torque settings in the ECU. Not all tuners address this challenge in the same way....

great to hear you did the upgrade from EC stage 1.

Does it feel like a big jump in power compared to the stage 1 tune?

Went from another tuner to true stage 2 tune. Yes, feels different and better. However, my butt dyno always says Better. Will see soon on dyno and track soon.

looking forward to see if it really improved over the previous tune. I've heard great things about the EC full tune lately.

Went from renntech full to EC tage two rocker which requires certain hardware mods. Much diff from renntech. Feels very strong, butt my butt dyno sucks. We'll see

yea they told me for the rocker file the car just needs new spark plugs and coil packs.

The 14+ already have improved on those parts so fresh ones to go along with the tune is what I was told would be it.

Any additional parts they told you about that i wasn't?

Went with one step colder plugs over stock for 14+

got my stage 2 EC tuned car on the dyno today and this tune made 603whp/730wtq on mine. This is just the tune, upgraded spark plugs, and afe pro dry S filters, no downpipes

definitely some solid numbers considering no downpipes. This tune with downpipes should be at around 630/770.

Still can't get below 11.5 ET, but with new tune getting consistent 127mph traps, compared to consistent 124mph traps (with one 126 trap). All with mix of 93 and 100 octane fuel.

Had new motor mounts and trans mounts installed, as mine were shot at 30K miles.

Still working on launching this thing to get my 60 ft down a bit. Haven't been able to find the sweet spot just yet.

There was a beautiful stock c63s sedan that ran 12.0x at 120. Was his first run in the car. Probably into 11s after he ran a couple of times.

Are you turning traction control completely off or in sport mode?

All the way off. Even tried in dyno mode. Might be spinning tires a bit...Need to look at that next time

My mounts seem to be bad as well didnt know that was an issue till I started hearing a clunk on gear changes and seeing my Bank 2 DP smashed. Did it help after you replaced them?

Have you or did you log the car on your runs? Your 60' is pretty bad. If that improved to what these cars do you'd most likely be in the 10s. My car isn't tuned and does pretty consistent 1.80-1.82 just using RS not brake torquing. Check that your DPs are tight that helped a ton bc they started leaking a tiny bit from hitting the cross member. was throwing off Fuel trims

Agreed on the 60 ft. Can't get below there for some reason. DPS were removed and tightened for the motor mount swap, but thx for thought; appreciate that.

I saw the two mounts and the trans mount after pulling them out....They were completely done. Yes, car is much better now. Had the same knock sound as you which is what prompted me to bring it in. One mount was completely busted and void of oil....If held the brake and gave it gas one side of motor would raise up several inches.

Didn't get to log this time...Phone with torque configured was left at home. Will do so next time. Thx again.

Thats crazy! Did the motor/trans mount issue also cause shifting issues under WOT?

Absolutely. Under wot, would create same knocking sound and loss of torque as giving significant throttle from a stop. Even starting the car, created some weird movement of the engine which would transfer to the cabin. Much more solid now obviously....Lol.
