Looks like based of the above post, running toyo r888 vs PSS dropped the time from 11.2 to 11.1 in the 1/4 mile...

I never noticed any wheelspin on stock sizes and pzeros but i guess its hard to tell even though its there because of the 4matic.

Now im thinking the best option may be to run 255-295 PSS as surely with a tune the stock Pzeros in stock sizes must be slowing it down with unnoticeable wheel spin.

I haven't noticed wheel spin on the track (prepped of course), but I have to believe there is some. Can absolutely detect wheel spin on the street.

im wondering this too, what to replace the stock pzeros with when they are done.

Maybe best tire choice (dont want r888, too impractical for a daily) would be the new MPSS4 in upgraded rear setup 255/295?

I cant think of a better daily driver tire setup than this for optimal grip and minimal wheelspin.

Should work well for the track too, im guessing.

maybe try upgrading next time to the new pss4 with 295 rears?

i think I will be going this route after I'm done with the stock pzeros.

Going to tune the car on 100 octane fuel.

Can you also find out please if the stage 2 rocket tune will make more power on 100 vs 93?

This would be a helpful way to get some easy gains without doing a custom tune for anyone running it.

Thank you!

New tune results from EC Orlando opening. Made some new (~15-20awhp/15-20lbft) power throughout mid and upper range; quite happy with the results. Didn't do any custom tuning on this day; this file did what we were looking for.

All runs with:
- catless DP
- UPD intake spacers w/ BMC filters
- 100 octane fuel (@100%)

Red - run 1 - baseline - EC stage 2 tune
Blue - run 2 - race gas tune
Green - run 3 - race gas tune

that's correct. not too worried about the absolute numbers here. i was the only awd car to be dyno'd (except for a rover and no idea what it made or was supposed to make). car is strongest it's ever been.

A new dyno? If so I've had some low numbers (like really low almost wtf sell car low) on new dynos. Those numbers are low it seems like but like you said Ralcbah if the car feels stronger I'm betting it is! Congrats looking forward to seeing the track results!
So you're saying you didn't retune it for 100 octane just added?

Is that the same dyno that the '12 E63 wagon (RWD) made 629whp?

funny I also got exactly 629whp on the EC stage 2 tune just like he did.

Why is this new dyno reading so low? It's still a dyno jet isn't it?

The awd tune is not the same as the rwd tune...purely coincidence you guys made the same power.

not sure on why. will go to track to see real results in a week or so.

i had no idea they weren't the same tune. Did EC tell you this?

is the "rocket" tune only for the AWD?

which one is designed to make more power? I thought they were exactly the same file.

i'm certainly not the expert here, but, transfer case preservation is important in the awd cars. they are both fast, and awd hooks like crazy.

i'm happy with the results, as was Jerry. car is much stronger than before; let's not worry about the absolute numbers for now. will go to track and we'll all find out together what the 100 octane tune does on prepped track

yea and so far from all the dynos I've seen the AWD are making more torque than the RWD and same whp.

I vaguely remember EC telling me that the AWD makes higher torque output because it spools the turbos a bit faster with the 4matic, or something along those lines, and clearly it's tuned a bit differently for that.

i've not heard the same thing. and like i said, i'm not the expert and not really into relaying second/third hand info, so will leave this data here, and will report back with track results....whether awesome or less than awesome

Same here! Hoping to pick up a tenth (if I can launch nicely) and maybe get to a 128 mph trap. We'll see. Should be fun

Previous best is 11.53 @ 127.3x mph. Can't seem to break 11.5 with my bad 60ft times. Started with traps at 122 and with fuel and tune changes traps are now in 127s consistently. Will see soon what some extra upper range torque and HP will do for me.

Weistec meth injection kit shipped yesterday so should be here soon. AEM is out of nozzles so that will be another week or so, but will get everything else installed.

Will likely get to track before kit install.
