Hit the dragway (several runs)

I've seen that video before, but doubt their TC was on it would cut power on launch and bog, this was probably with TC in sport mode, without race start. And the yellow color might just be because of the video. Might have to try some with TC full off, and just brake boosting.

TC sport mode shows up on left side of right gauge (not illuminated in the vid, so not in sport TC)... TC OFF would shows up on right side of right gauge, which cant really be seen at angle of video of dash (seen at about 35 sec into the vid), so cant tell if TC is off or on, but definitely not in sport TC mode

I launch best in comfort suspension mode ... I think I read that in this forum as ideal

I actually wonder how much time (if any) comfort mode really saves vs s/s+ suspension modes.

In theory the softened compression has to help. Unfortunately these cars have so many other issues with launching that it probably doesn't matter.

What I realized early on is only the rear rises with the airmatic so in comfort mode suspension the car has a bit of a raked look .. seems more ideal for launching but looks weird from the outside when I look at it so I always drive in s+.... pimp pimp

I've launched in many different manners, and still I can't get below 11.5x. For this trip, did not try simply flooring the gas, however. Continue to make more power and increase trap speed, but no real decreases in ET. Still playing with it, but, yeah...
Consistency is 'pretty easy' with the AWD, however.

TC was all the way off in the subsequent video by someone else who ran a 10.9 with the same car

E63 is the brute, RS7 feels like pure race car, and M6 feels like it slots somewhere in the middle. My thoughts...

Time to do something different. Been test driving other rides lately, and want something new again. Put in an offer on an M6 Gran Coupe comp pack last week, unsuccessfully, and drove an RS7 as well this week. All great cars! Still have no idea what I'll end up with, though!

I have just recently sold mine, bought a 16' Porsche GT3 for my speed/track(road racing not drag) needs and just bought a E43 for my beater/luxury needs. I just came to the conclusion that, how fast can you actually go in a 4600lbs car? and also, besides the engine, the car is just plain and boring to me. The M157 engine is a beast and one that I think will be missed in the future, but the trans is just horrible and ruins the driving experience to a point. Good luck with your future purchase.
