Lightest Wheels, Koncept Cars?
I'm looking for information on the lightest wheels available for my 2016 E63. It appears that no company currently manufactures a 100% carbon fiber wheel for this car. Koncept cars makes a two piece wheel that utilizes a carbon fiber rim with a forged aluminum center hub section that bolts to the rim. They claim 18 lbs which is pretty light; http://konceptcars.com/koncept-cf-super-52/ However, I have heard nothing on the boards from anyone that has tried them. Furthermore, I have called and emailed the company numerous times and I get zero response. Any other suggestions that weigh well under 20 lbs and are extremely strong and rigid?

If they are that bad when you haven't even purchased a set, imagine how unresponsive they would be if you had an issue with their wheels. I personally don't know about the company but poor customer service is not a good sign.

Looks like the Renntechs are the lightest available for this car. Throw in a set of titanium lug nuts and I'm at $11k...ouch. Weight reduction does not come cheap.

i wish they had the stock 10 spoke e63s amg 10 spoke weight... i cant find it anywhere and have searched all over the internet to know what kind of weight savings are to be had vs OEM... I am assuming they are around 30lbs but thats just a guess based on past amg non-forged rims

As I stated, I read it somewhere a few months ago but I do not remember the source. After I buy the Renntech superlight wheels and titanium lug nuts, I will weigh the wheels without the TPMS sensors and post a photo and results.
