Badge placement help please

Gentlemen,

I recently bought a 2015 E63 AMG S wagon which was de badged. I'd like to have the option to restore the car's recognition it deserves, and was wondering if anyone might have the measurements, or could acquire them as to where I would place the badges.

Nothing bothers me more than a-symmetry, and I'd like to make sure that if I go the route, I get the location as OEM as possible.

Thanks for your help.

Ive included a picture, because as we all know, this thread is useless without pictures.

I bought black badges from ebay and they came with a ruler and the lettering fixed inside a rectangle to help you line it up better. Getting the exact dimensions for placement is going to be rough. If it was debadged you should be able to notice the area if you flash an led light or something at it to gauge where it should be.

I ordered OEM badges, so I doubt they will come with a ruler. The original owner ordered the car this way, so there's no evidence of their prior placement.

I'm really hoping that someone with a wagon could take some quick measurements for me.

I have not tried this: On another thread, someone mentioned shining a black light on the area and you will be able to see the silhouette of the exact location.

A nice and clean de-badged look, though.

I took some measurements for you tonight (apologies in advance for the lousy pictures taken with my iPad). It's a little tricky because of the curvature of the rear - this means that there is not a consistent distance from the upper edge just below the window glass. If the OEM badges come pre-spaced on the backing, you may not need all of the measurements.

Left Side (E63):
Distance from corner edge above outer tail light to outer edge of "E" = 13.5cm. Distance from edge below glass to top center "E" = 7cm, "6" =6.5cm, "3" = 6.3cm.

Right Side (AMG):
Distance from corner edge above outer tail light to outer edge of "G" = 13.5cm. Distance from edge below glass to top center "G"= 7.4cm, "A"=6.7cm, "S///" = 6.8cm (at the center silver thick bar).

Good luck!

Thank you thank you thank you! I just received the tracking number from fedex for my badges and this is super helpful!

While I do like the debadged look, the car just deserves its recognition!

be careful if they are not O.E.M badges. I bought cheaper ones that look identical but the 2 way tape on the back is crap. I lost a B from Bi turbo the first car wash.

You're more than welcome. I think both options look great. If you get tired of the badges, you already know it will look great debadged.
