E63S Sedan or Wagon?

E63S Sedan or Wagon?
First post here and need a little advice. Just picked up my first 2014 E63S sedan. The dealership had a 2014 E63S sedan and a 2016 E63S wagon. The price difference was substantial. So decided to go with the sedan. The decision between the sedan and wagon was not easy. Just curious what do most here prefer or recommend? Sedan or wagon? Thanks for the help.
Cheers!!

There's something about these wagons...
In all seriousness, get what you want. I used to be a sedan guy but now the sedans don't do anything for me. Wagons are harder to come by as well. If you see one you like, hold on to it. I'm not letting go of mine anytime soon.

Since 1978 I have always had a wagon in my "stable". From my experience, they are a bit noisier, more practical due to their storage and generally preferable overall. The E63S wagon is quite rare, draws attention from car enthusiasts, and is ignored by the police. When I drive my '95 300ZX TT, every kid in a Camaro or Mustang wants to race. No one "bothers" me at stoplights when I drive the wagon.

Wagon for sure. Not only is it rare it is also very useful for carrying 'stuff' (got lot's of great comments when we took broken down kitchen cabinets to the dump . I know many would question using such a vehicle for this type of work but a wagon is for carrying loads (and you can still move really fast)

Wagon. I don't haul enough to justify a pickup so the Wagon provides the functionality my former sedans can't match. And I like the fact most folks don't really know its performance potential including law enforcement. Just another station wagon.

Wagon for sure. Just transitioned from 10 years with an Audi S4 to a new E Wagon. Tons of practicality and way better than an SUV imho. As a one car family I don't ever see us not owning a wagon.

2015 AMG E63S 212
After 5 MB wagons, it was a no-brainer! The E63Swagon is the ultimate if a wagon is in your psyche. I can't go anywhere without turned heads and approaches by admirers. There were 100 brought in for 2015 model year, and two of them are in my town of Stowe Vermont. I thought I would be unique. Mine is Mocha Black with chestnut leather,de-badged, and a total sleeper.

I really want the Wagon, but will take a really nice Sedan instead if I had to. The Wagon is rarer (5:1 Sedans to Wagon for AMG S(?); also, it's the rarest M-B in North America), more useful, and unique out there (there are only a handful of manufacturers bringing wagons to NA).
The Sedan is easier to get a good price on, and looks better from a couple angles. The Wagon weighs more so it takes a tiny hit in fuel economy, handling/braking, and acceleration.
May I ask where did you pick up your Sedan?

Barrier Mercedes in Bellevue. They had a used 2014 E63 white sedan with 8700 miles. As you probably know from their website they also have a white 2016 E63 wagon. I did not want to purchase new at the time. However now I am considering getting the wagon. In the past I've always driven wagons or SUVs. It may sound crazy however I am more comfortable and used to driving wagons. My wife really likes the sedan. We may go look at the wagon again tomorrow. Any thoughts?

I had a feeling that was the car! Well, congratulations my friend, that's a sweet car. I was the other guy trying to buy the car but I think you beat me to it a week ago last Friday. I got them down to $75k but I wanted it at $73.5k. It's a really nice example of a Sedan though. Let me know, maybe I'll buy it from you within the next weeks or months, heh. Though trading it back in to Barrier probably makes more sense with our WA State sales tax at 9.5%.
That Wagon is beautiful (essentially the same car, but with Night Styling instead of CF exterior trim), and if I had that kind of money I'd buy that Wagon. Please let me know what happens.
Also, some guys on here have done the third row jump seat conversion from the E350 V6 4Matic Wagon. I think parts and labor ran about $5k, but makes the Wagon even more special.

I love my wagon, but get what you want. I'm happy with my choice for many of the same reasons mentioned above, but I have a few friends who still can't understand why I would want a wagon.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Get what you like and need. Sedan drivers not really gonna chime in and say they wish they got the wagon instead.
I like wagons and have an Magnum HEMI but looking to move on with a GLE 63 (wagon) .
Also wished the E63 wagon came with privacy glass.
