automatic trunk open with leg an option or standard
Seem like some members have this option or is it standard. I just tried it and was able to open it once. Is there a sure fire sequence to activate 100%.
I am not sure what I did to open it, but a cool feature i did not know the car had...I can't be the only person...

Sweet now that I looked at the link below....
I was able to open and close with leg....
I came across this subject looking for rear diffuser and it seem to be an unknown option to most.
I wish I had my AMG log on command like my 211 63....

What year? Is your car a wagon?

Standard on 2016 wagon.
the key is that the motion away from the from the bumper is what activates the trunk. People try to kick and or slide their food sideways... just put it close to the center of the bumper and pull away directly back. Works for me about 80% of the time on the first try. 100% by the second.

2016 E63 Wagon
I have a wagon and it has this feature. i think it was standard on my 2016 model.
I feel the same way as gaspam in that i wrote it off as a gimmick at first but now i use it often. I especially like being able to shut the hatch with the same feature.

didnt think much of the auto trunk feature, but after 2 weeks of having the car and using this quite a bit it really is an awesome feature! you just have to quickly put your foot under then pull it back. it wont work if you hold your foot under too long...

As an update...I do indeed have this feature...already used it twice. Thanks to the OP for enlightening me on it.

One thing which I discovered is that if your car's on a lift and you have very restricted headroom, don't walk underneath the back end of it with the key in your pocket.
Guess how I found this out... Luckily mine just hit a plastic lamp in the garage ceiling.

Salesmen and "managers" are mostly clowns.
Same here, I bet him a beer and after he lost he did honored it.
It blows my mind how MB puts these uneducated people to sell a $100K+ car. I went to MB of Bellevue to buy a GTS but he did not know jack so I decided to pass and get something else.
But if the Salesman does not know how to turn one basic feature on and off they should not be selling
