alcantara steering wheel
the alcantara portion if the steering wheels very sticky, especially during humid weather.
can the dealer replace it under the warranty?

Depends on dealer ... some regard that as wear and tear

i have used sonax acantara cleaner
did not notice any difference, feels sticky and matt

I have been able to keep mine clean by taking a wet towel and keep wiping it and drying with another clean towel. I originally thought that it would be hard to take care of. I had even bought special cleaners and brushes but haven't needed them. And I'm pretty much a Concours nut.

New wheel a month ago for same reason
my car has 29k on it, I took it in for the hell of it and mentioned the wheel and a light that was out... Also about my brake dust shield having rush.
They fix the bulb, new steering wheel and a full inspection of the car...
The shield was not damage and could not be replaced...
10 day at the dealer cause the wheel came from Germany...I had a 2016 C450... I wish it had taken a month....

The also fix vanity light that was out check suspension and I know they hooked up to OBD as my port was open.
Try your dealer maybe they will swap it out.
Now the C450 I had that wheel was the same design but leather... I like that even better...

I use Chemical Guys interior cleaner along with the microfiber towels from Costco. I use the side that isn't as plush and the wheel feels brand new. Do this for all my cars every 1,000 or so miles and the interiors always look new. CG's interior cleaner is probably the best one I've used to date.

It's indeed amazing it got replaced under warranty for dirty alcantara. On the other hand, I wouldn't want my perfectly working wheel replaced just for that. It will be a bigger headache to start getting noises and problems with the wheel after fixing something that's not broken.

I mix some soap and water in a cup and use a small soft brush to clean. Then take a microfiber towel to dry. After drying I use a dry soft brush on the alcantara. That gives the fullness so its not matted down.
All steps are done gently and never vigorously. You don't want to rub the alcantara.
