E63s vs x5m
OEMs have been battling for years to see who can accelerate fastest, but for this one, we get a peek at two renowned tuners: Evotech and Renntech.

found this thread in the general discussion section but seems like nobody came across it. I thought would be nice to post it here and hear some thoughts on this race.
Basically both tuned and the x5m smoked e63s. Hard to believe as it's Much heavier and less aerodynamic than the E with the same power

So basically a stock e63s is almost as fast as a tuned x5m with 750hp. LOL

I don't know, for a car that says it's tuned to 750hp I don't think 123.4mph is proper for it at all. Maybe something is wrong with the tune they did who knows.
With a healthy running tune it should trap at least 125mph+ so the video doesn't add up.
im sure your car do better than 124, again seems a bit off.

this video shows the car in 11s tuned so doubt he was tuned.
I think if both are properly tuned the amg should have the clear advanage on the x5m as the E is the significantly lighter vehicle and has more torque.

Also, with the moscow unlimited events they usually are advertising crank HP, not WHP... 750 chp is about 600-630 whp, so tune/dp only e63
they both were slow in the 1/2 at 147-149mph.... my old e55 did 152 (never got my c63 or e63 to 1/2 mile event)

tuned e63s do not trap 125+ on unprepped tarmac... track times and speeds are different than street... these moscow unlimited 1/4 and trap speeds are always slower than what you would see on a prepped drag strip.

Gaspam take a look at the update in the cls vs e thread I started. Apparently the owner of the cls had a few things to say about that race.

Who knows how the new M5 is going to run. Is it going to have a DCT? If it does that may be with torque limitations in the TCU to help protect it from abuse. The current X5 M has a ZF auto and has a much higher peak torque figure than the current M5. So it is less of a concern for the engineers as far as the drivetrain shock on the transmission. So at this point everything is pure speculation.

I am not sure if he was trying 100% because stock for stock, the w212 is much faster stock and it doesn't weigh as much as the X5M. I was pushing and was always just a little behind and he just took off after 100mph.
