2014 E63s amg 4matic, 2009 C63, 2006 E55 AMG , 2001.5 AUDI S4 stg 3+ w/meth
I've had 4 audis and 3 mb amgs and audi was far more reliable for me

although amg has gotten progressively better for me as e55 was less reliable than c63, and c63 was less reliable than e63s

What are we defining as reliable?

leave you stranded at home or on the side of a road -- never had a car do that. Niggles and little annoying sh-t... the benz hands down ... then the Acura then the infiniti

Added 310 hp to S6 ? may I ask why did you not buy the RS7 ? more mod potential and better gains-maybe even lesser bill.

Would you suggest people should buy S7 instead of RS7 and then mod it ? (I feel like it won't be the same thing since RS7 interior is different and might I add nicer lol)

I'll tell you this... I had my E63s for a little over a year (was totaled a few weeks ago), and I just picked up an RS7 that I've had for a couple of weeks now. Now that these cars are old enough to be picked up used, they are not too far off in price from a used E63s. The Audi is so much better in every way... except handling. The E63s steering feels so much better and more nimble... makes that 4500lb car feel like its 1000lbs lighter. The RS7 has very heavy steering, but that's probably the only inferior aspect of it. I was worried the transmission would be inferior as well since it's an automatic and not MCT/DCT, but it shifts much better than the transmission in the E63s. It doesn't have any more modding potential than the E63s... the most common mods for it are downpipes and tune just like the E63s. I don't really see any mainstream upgraded turbo packages for the RS7, but I've seen quite a few for the E63s.

I needed sedan , 5 sits , I'd say get the rs7 just because you won't lose money on tuned parts and labor, RS7 down pipes little ***** to put on , but way faster than send your ECU out .

Share more bro. Could you compare both ?

Long trips ?
overall sense of comfort ?
overall sense of confidence driving at thrilling speeds ?
overall sound quality from the exhaust while cruising and or on long highway trips ?
transmission within city trips ? stop and go traffic ?
Snow/wet surface ?
Dealership experience ?

Exclusivity ?
Sound system ?

First person I've found who has been on both sides of the exact cars I'm in line for lol

I haven't taken any long trips yet... longest car ride so far was probably a half hour or so, but the sports seats are very comfortable. The car is very tamed when it needs to be, but feels very quick off the line... that automatic transmission with the torque converter gives you that instant acceleration off the line, unlike the throttle delay there is in the E63.

The exhaust on this car was surprisingly good. I had no idea these things sounded so good (mine has the sports exhaust). It has valves that open and close based on the driver setting. It makes all those pops and crackles upon revs and shifts... sounds really good.

Transmission is rock solid through traffic.. very smooth as you'd expect from an automatic transmission. The E63 had a little jerky-ness like any other MCT/DCT transmission.

I haven't really driven in bad weather yet nor have I gone to the dealership for service yet, so I can't really testify to that.

It's definitely more exclusive than an E63... just look at how many are for sale on Cars.com.

I don't really use the sound system much, so I don't really know or care about that. Mine has the Bose system (not the overglorified Bang and Olufsen), but it sounds as good as the Harmon Kardon I had in the E63.

Thank you so much.

I reckon that after a while things that really matter for Canadian drivers especially where I live- is long trips, driving in winter, exhaust, stop and go traffic and sound system. Once in a while thrilling speeds happen, passing someone is also rare now since my driving habits have changed and I just come behind the driver instead of getting ahead lol.

BTW there is a sound system MOD for RS7 which gives better base-just change the sub-it is so simple-I started a topic on audizine and someone experimented and now all of them are doing it. It's so straight forward unlike our cars. Even E55 10 year old car -I can't simply replace the sub and replicate those results.

How's the ride quality? I assume you are on 21's ?

Winter -Canada RWD I'd feel powerless and job changes require something I know I can take out in 2 feet of snow.

So who's the target audience for Turbo , Turbo S Panamera?

I was browsing autotrader and even 2011-2012 models went into 6 figures.

Like who are they targeting? lol

Are those mod friendly?

Panamera GTS is relatively cheaper but not mod friendly what so ever.

IMHO, Audi's all-wheel drive is magnitudes better than the best 4matic, at least in deep snow or snow covered ice; Winthrop in Eastern WA. My 2011 A4 Avant comes up the hill to our house like it is dry, the AMG slides, corrects, wheels spin, very intrusive input. I wanted to sell the A4 since I have the AMG wagons but I think the A4 will stay put in Winthrop for our winter driving when we go there.

assuming status car that's it , Porsche 911 uses dry sump and engine came it straight from racing all forged and ready for abuse . Panamera regular motor , nothing special , talking about previous gen . Not as reliable as well
