Just a warning for everyone else out there, I waited until the stock plastic, cloth and wire crappy intake tubes went bad before replacing. When I finally ordered the $130 replacements (total), I was amazed to see that the wire and cloth middle section has been sucked into the airbox and had basically unraveled and completely jammed itself against the air filter inside the intake. I was pulling that wire and cloth out like a magician pulling silks out of his pocket.



Fine, lesson to me to wait to do WOT runs when you don't have parts of your air intake system falling apart.

Good thing my cold air update has stout filters in the way or it could have been worse.

I know there are replacement options soon to be out for those flimsy intake pieces, I will be looking at those soon but I had to get those old ones out of there. Hey, if those new intake options come out soon I may have a very lightly used set of OEM's to sell someone!

There's a few threads on this floating around. Air tubes should be checked at every oil change!

problem is is that the techs probably pull off the tubes real quick, and it tears that way, as one tube sits over the filter....both mine were torn, made fuss and got replaced under warrenty

Just replace with the spectre hoses and be done with is for $50.
